Whatnot is what is the worst part. I enjoyed seeing Geoff make terrible decisions and lose big money on his own cards 😂....but in all seriousness, I will never join Whatnot, buy on it or support anyone that constantly has to bring it up.

@@floridamaddogg it does suck for us as far as content, but whatnot brings the hobby to alot of people. Gives alot of chances for people who normally can't get cards easily, more easy. Not to mention great deals from consignments.

comps in the hobby are so dumb. How people handle comps drives so much downward pressure on pricing and pretty much any upward price movement is driven by retail buyers. eBay heavily prioritizes their preferred sellers for auctions. If you're a small ebayer running auctions you will get killed lol. There needs to be a better way to price cards especially in such an illiquid market that is so reliant on one marketplace

@@mohawkdakidd5933 it's the sellers cards so it's his price. I can honestly say I price my cards above comps because I know vendors and buyers at shows will offer super low anyways. I'm in no rush to move stuff especially the more unique stuff that doesn't comp 100 times in a week.

i think 9500 was a great offer from the 12.5K . That's roughly 85% from ebay and he got straight cash and moved all the cards at once. i would have thought the offer would have been less

It’s called sponsorship and it really helps financially to help continue his journey. I enjoy a lot of content from him and others in regards to cards but if I don’t like something or someone I’m not going to watch or waste time commenting negatively. You can watch Joe blow from the beginning but if he does really well it’s going to be the same for him. It’s called Growth

Dont sell to dealers at card shows you will get scammed. They expect to pay less than the lowest comps on ebay or whatever site they can pull up on their phone. You have no obligation to sell for so low to dealer unless you are overextended and need the cash.

People do this on ebay too, try to lowball. I personally have a few cards on ebay but I have $450-500 card on ebay (sells regularly for that) an I get people tryna send me offers in the 200's and act salty that I don't wanna sell for a $200 loss

@@mitchelljones7573 They use the scummiest tactics too, On eBay at least they don’t get your ear. They come up to your table and act hyper aggressive and insulting, trying to diminish the value of your collection. For every video Geoff posts where his candor is kind and the compromise is mutual, there is probably 100 unseen moments where his buyers swoop in like relentless insulting sharks offering 50% of what you should get for your merchandise. Sellers beware.

Well I think the general rule is you pay less than comps in person/shows is because you are subtracting that Ebay/Online fees and tax. But yes you have no obligation to sell if youre not happy with price

@@jcvtrt6721 yeah its a general rule for flippers and for dealers. Not for consumers and collectors . You have to pay for the price of the table and you have to invest alot of time. So the cards at a show are worth 20-50% less than online, plus you have to invest all that time and money?? This is just wrong.

I’ve done a deal with cc2 and it wasn’t pre done. He knows most the dealers and they give him good deals. People with money in the pockets will always get better deals
