You think is better stihl or Husqvarna?
@IRONHORSE427RACING5 жыл бұрын
It might be older but still a great example of how stressful felling huge bad wood like that can be. People who have never done this for a living can clearly see and hear how much of a workout you get physically as well as mentally...not to mention the cardiac work you get just from one big old widow maker like that one was. Its what keeps our blood a pumpin and keeps us young.

I really like your axe hangin set up, 57 and fell all my life, have always tried to come up with a better set up but guess my imagination is short. How critical is the location of the the loop welded to the axe head so it hangs level? (So the handle isn't hanging straight down)..What weight is the axe? Thanks, you do good work.
@BjarneButler5 жыл бұрын
I use a 28” handle with a 3.5 lb head. But a 17” handle balances better. I like to use a 1/4 inch roundstock as the loop , welded to the axe. I’ll make a video of it soon

(I'm new at this) The second cut of my conventional cut I almost always get the angle spot on while the angle of the second cut of my Humbolt is usually an abortion that needs to be tweaked by cleaning out Dutchmans. Do I need a decent tip or 1000 more trees?

hey bjarne im a big fan of your videos. ive been cutting for work for just over 2 years now and if i may be so bold as to make a request... could you do a video where you go over your field setup as far as all the tools and equipment you bring into the field. for example your saw bar and chain, belt kit, PPE, etc... possibly even with some of your thoughts on other products and your preferences for different types of jobs? biggest tree ive ever felled is a 3ft diameter cottonwood so i find your large felling videos very eye opening

Hello! I like to watch these records. Not so long ago came across on the Internet on the program about air lumberjacks! 10 series, came out in 2009 (one of these days it will be exactly 10 years), there were transported logs through the air on Chinake, the work was carried out in the area of the Briton. Brigadier Proud, Robin Robson-senior high altitude, as well as high-altitude Wayne cleaver and Jim nicknamed the Beast. I wonder if you know them?
@BjarneButler5 жыл бұрын
Nope haven’t heard of those guys.

@@BjarneButler Clearly, harvesting the firm, which has produced the series was conducted over 10 years ago, I think in 2007 or 2008. Original English name Heli-Loggers, if I'm not mistaken.

Ok I’ll google it. We did have a film crew come out years ago to film some heli logging. It was for an american film company
