Accessible by boat only, this abandoned fish factory sits in a heavily decayed state off the coast of New Jersey. First starting operations in the late 1800s, this factory produced many products from Bunker fish caught off the NJ shore. The island- which once housed many warehouses, furnaces, oil tanks , living quarters, an aircraft runway, and even a small general store now sits in ruin from the harsh conditions.
Here is a great document about the fish factory's history, AKA "The Stinkhouse"

I’ve crabbed and fished near that factory more times than I can count but never wanted to risk walking through the weeds

Thank you! I’ve been clamming over there since I was a kid and always wondered what it looked like in there.

So awesome! My cousin and I would do stuff like this at places like the old Lucas Paint Factory in Gibbsboro.
