That’s the thing so many people just refused to accept. AEW’s “low ratings” were never really low, in the eyes of the people who actually matter. They don’t have to match WWE to be successful. If AEW can figure out their booking and marketing, they have all the pieces to be a legit competitor to WWE, and if they’re not, that’s okay two. Being an ultra strong number two can still make many people rich and give talent an amazing place to work. Everyone is winning here

for a promotion that's only 5 years old to have this massive of a tv deal is huge. I'd like to see them spend some of the profit on hiring a good creative team. Still let the wrestlers have input into their storylines and characters but this way you can have people there with experience to help the storylines stay consistent. I wouldn't 100% rely on the creative team to map out everything but they can layout this is where we start and when it will end lets come up with a story that will keep the fans entertained until the big payoff. Not every idea that the talent comes up with will make sense for the storyline and you need someone to help reign them in. Not every feud needs a hardcore style match some storylines would work better with an ironman match or submission match

If you sign a new TV deal, something has to change in your product. Most of all, you had to get rid of something that is not working such as Rampage and Collision weekly television. If AEW planning to showcase a new weekly program, "Shockwave," TK had to canceled either Rampage or Collision due to low ratings, and lack of ticket sells.

There was a report about AEW's running cost being $3,86 millions per week, which is roughly $201 million per year. If the $170 mil is true, with the added PPV sales, ticket sales, licesing, merch, etc. it seems like they will be finally profitable, which was their goal from the very beginning, to turn the company profitable in 2024.

Those are linear TV ratings as linear TV is dying. They are limited to North America. It does not include streaming , mobile apps to get your TV via phone. Most people now watch on their phones. IN addition, AEW vs WWE is only for the fans on. the TV. TV networks don't give a crap about AEW vs WWE. Time Warner owns multiple TV stations and its only competitor is itself. If they were on the same night in the same TV slot competing for audience share it would be a different story. It's a bogus wrestling fan fantasy. The wrestling wars were only because WCW and WWE were on the same night at the same time slot. I love how when it comes to AEW, ratings and attendance is always brought up. But it was only a couple of years back where WWE was actually filming in a 1,000 seat arena to cut costs because they lost money due to ratings and attendance. This was also at a time WWE made several cuts, that also included major players within the company. But now, apparently the WWE is just so great, yet they failed to deliver any ratings on FOX. This was nothing new that FOX wanted to drop WWE due to low ratings, they were failing on that Network back when Jeff Hardy was with WWE. FOX wanted them to push Rey Mysterio to get over with that Latin crowd. The only ones you are catering to when you talk about ratings and audience being low, are these ridiculous WWE “marks” that act like a bunch of children. And of course WWE stooges like Jim Cornette(WWE owns the rights to his company SMW. So they pay him to be bias). The WWE and AEW are two different companies, just like WWE and WCW were. Vince McMachon said it himself. “We a not a Wrestl’in company. We make movies here. We are sports entertainment”. Then he banned both the terms “wrestling” and “wrestlers”. And Triple H is doing absolutely nothing different than Vince McMachon. Who do you think taught him all he knew? The WWE is theatre, AEW is wrestling.
