Loving going back into the archives and watching your old videos. It’s so fun to see you first discovering supplies that I see you use all the time now (like Poscas). And really neat to see how you’ve developed your multi-media and layering techniques over the past couple of years… so encouraging!! And new favorite Sandi quote: “I’m really attracted to weeds.” 😂 So thankful to have a library of Sandi to go back and watch anytime I need a pick-me-up! Thanks for your generosity and hard work. ❤

Another vote for Molotow! I think you’ll enjoy them, I think the bigger sizes have some super chunky nibs and I’ve had better luck with them than with my Poscas in terms of longevity (I’m the worst for ruining markers by working on top of other stuff, but my Molotows seem to stand up to the abuse a bit better and also you can buy replacement nibs)

Acrylic paint (even matte acrylic) is pretty slick. Both Neocolors and oil pastels don't grab well to its slippery surface. I'd recommend adding a layer of clear gesso (clear gesso is AMAZING) before adding them on top of acrylics. The gesso texture will give them something to grab on to without much impact to the paint layers below.

I absolutely love how free you are! I'm so jealous. I keep thinking about it and then I chicken out. Lol Anyway, I wanted to ask if you ever play with gouache? My choice of medium is watercolor. I tend to think of it as 'cost effective' for me, but here lately, I've been playing with waterbased gouache. I purchased the Himi brand and bought some other brand at the local art store (can't remember the brand). It is opaque, so what I like about it, is how I can go either light to dark or dark to light. I sometimes use both, like for clouds. I have a very difficult time leaving white, white. Lol Thank you for your weekly videos! Real helpful video. I watched it twice! So what brand fixative would you use to seal charcoal sticks and Art Graf blocks since you really didn’t like Lascaux? Have you tried hairspray for sealing charcoal?

Please teach me how to use the water brush! Every time I try the color gets sucked up into the water reservoir instead of going on the paper…

Hmmm that’s strange. Not sure why that’s happening

The small Aquash waterbrush is very small!

Love your channel. I had a question pop into my head and I said “hm let me ask Sandi” you turned me to the soft body paint from liquitex... have you any experience with rolling paintings up for storage/shipping? I’m assuming the paint would crack despite it being labeled a satin finish, since it dries relatively matte? I paint on a large scale in my house, so that’s why I’m going to have to roll some!

I don’t have experience with it but I would reach out to the company- they would know the answers. My gut says it would be fine

I'm new to your channel, love your personality, love your house, love your spirit, love love love. I also very much love your HAAIR!! And now the off-topic question: how do you style it? Because I think we have the same curl/wave pattern and I never manage it to look this way.

thank you so much! I'm pretty simple with my hair. Put some gel in it and put some clips in the top to dry and I just air dry it and go to bed with it slightly damp

You can buy empty paint pens, Sandi, and fill them with your own paint mixes - but, like you, I don't find the tool itself great to work with.

Try Holbein Colored Pencils or Derwent Lightfast
