Thank you for such a colourful, textured journey through your work - love it! This is a bit left field but I stumbled upon an artist being interviewed on KZbin (and on Insta) and she did the most interesting things. Alice Herbst is from Stockholm - and amongst other very individual approaches to her work, she makes 3D shapes and then paints those shapes in her finished works. Soooo interesting. The thought of your big toothy horse (and duck?!) featuring in a future painting made me happy😊

Adorable painting. So here is what I feel about paints. I kinda think of most things like food- lol. Even though some foods don't make you feel bad short term, long term those delightful donuts will catch up to you. So even if the smell is tolerable, it can cause some damage over longer term use.

I have to say you are a nutball in the best sense. It's like being with a friend and getting inspired to do the things you forgot you loved. I'm always wanting my husband to love what I do and he just doesn't love my kind of art and it kind of bums me out and I stop playing. I need to just stay motivated and reminding myself everyone loves different things and there are people that like what I do. I've been going through all of your videos since I found you. I think this is my favorite painting so far. All the colors and well everything. ; )

I still love when you paint still life. Love the coffee shop paintings. You always inspire me. The thing you are missing from your papier mache is wire, it gives the structure but when I did it I literally hated the wire part. Applying the mache bit was so much fun because it brings the thing to life.

Please be aware that our skin is permeable, and many pigments have chemicals that may, or have been proven to, cause cancer/other health issues. That includes many brands, not only DS. The safety information is online, and luckily, quite a few products are safe for our favorite tactile tendencies. (Not criticizing-- hoping to share health info to fellow artists. 🤗) I really enjoy listening to you, and watching you share your joy. I wish I had a wee bit of your color and composition talent--just AMAZING! TY for sharing. 🐎🐅🦆🦉

Thanks for the inspiring video, Sandi! The papier mache brings back childhood memories of texture and shape - I love the idea of bringing these forward into adult life! Especially love your owls, in paper and in paint. And all those dark backgrounds you’ve been doing. Thanks for sharing all this joy.

for ages now ive been trying to think of a way to work 3d that doesn't require clay. I was thinking about papier mache but getting in a state about doing it in a very 'proper' way... seeing you build these supports and then paper over them like this is super inspiring! thank you.

Love the cafe with the wonky perspective outside - it makes it look like it's windy and wild weather outside, but settled indoors. For painting your paper animals, I think you'd enjoy the way Celia Woods paints her ceramics (she likes to make slightly wonky pots). It's joyful and may inspire you to use your own motifs.
