Saw them on that same Mezzanine21 Tour, in France. In the crowd I was surrounded by young people and when they started playing that track I recognized it instantly. I screamed "Bela Lugosi's dead" and those kids looked at me like "who's that old fart?". I've been a Bauhaus fan since the early 80's. The Cure's "10.15" was also on the track list, amazing show with Horace Andy and Elizabeth Frazer, and quite a total experience with that mesmerizing video show.

Funny i saw them recently in Paris. I’ve never been to a silent crowd like that one, people literally looked like they were forced to be there, just to be cool or something. But actually they weren’t enjoying it. All the visuals looked to them like they were being attacked by Massive’s politically engaged vibe, they felt guilty. Nobody danced, i felt i was in post ww2 in the middle of the collabo nazi regime so weird

People naturally categorize the Bauhaus track as goth music because of its theme and mood but rhythmically it has roots in the extended dub and steppers tracks of Jamaican and British reggae, just like so many Massive Attack records, so this cover makes a lot of sense 😁
