Saw them on that same Mezzanine21 Tour, in France. In the crowd I was surrounded by young people and when they started playing that track I recognized it instantly. I screamed "Bela Lugosi's dead" and those kids looked at me like "who's that old fart?". I've been a Bauhaus fan since the early 80's. The Cure's "10.15" was also on the track list, amazing show with Horace Andy and Elizabeth Frazer, and quite a total experience with that mesmerizing video show.

The sound of the Radio Music City Hall was absolutely insane. Never experienced anything like it in my life. And I too have seen many shows: Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, The Police, Black Sabbath, Depeche Mode, Offenbach, Genesis, Peter Gabriel... nothing was like this performance that night. And hopefully, I was there.

People naturally categorize the Bauhaus track as goth music because of its theme and mood but rhythmically it has roots in the extended dub and steppers tracks of Jamaican and British reggae, just like so many Massive Attack records, so this cover makes a lot of sense 😁

Indeed. Pil with Jah Wobble were also an influence. Bauhaus were only labelled goths after they split up in 1983. The goth thing was a tacky hype associated with the dreadful Mission and Fields of Nephillim in 1986 onwards. This was my youth. It was never cool to call yourself a goth.

There are three, 2D screens to be seen. 1. The video at the back, is the distant screen ... 2. The stage in lights and the audience; the audience are placed on top of each other and the stage is flat above them in green light. 3. The strobe illuminates the third stage, which is your whole screen, the periphery of the screen to the sides and the back of your retina.
