as much as I love the live stuff I wish that this song and "small time shot" (original version) was still on you tube. I hate that most of 100th mirror's tracks aren't even avaialable on you tube any more. one of my fave albums behind mezzanine ,and heligoland from massive attack

Man I feel your pain and sorrow. Mezzanine is still my favorite album of all time by Massive Attack just because there are too many songs on there that hold nostalgia to me (especially being a big fan of The Matrix and the tv show House). 100th Window though is easily my second favorite album of theirs. And honestly, Everywhen hits higher emotional highs for me than any of the high points on Mezzanine. The album as a whole though is secretly my #1 favorite on a personal level for me. One thing that bothers me that makes this album worthy of the title THE SINGLE MOST CRIMINALLY UNDERRATED ALBUM OF ALL TIME, is an interview I watched when Heligoland came out. When 3D and Daddy G were being interviewed, the guy interviewing them said "It's been 12 years since your last album," and sounded so sure of himself so pompously that 3D had to come in and correct him by saying "7 years! It's been 7 years" (indicated that 7 years had passed between 100th Window and Heligoland versus 12 years since Mezzanine). I wanted to go back in time and punch that interviewer in the face for his sinful ignorance towards such a mellow, sublime masterpiece. The stupid argument made about this album is that because it only features Robert Del Naja on it, that would make it a solo album. WRONG!!! It's still Massive Attack to my ears. It's just more lighter and more ethereal and with less of those deep bassy trip hop beats that marked their first 3 albums. And honestly, for historical reasons, I should say this: I loved 100th Window right from the first time I listened to it. I hadn't even listened to Blue Lines until much MUCH later. Several years later. I first listened to 100th Window in 2007. Blue Lines in 2015. And I still find 100th Window FAR BETTER than Blue Lines. So cheers to us, the elite few who recognize the hidden but still justifiably rewarding listening experience of 100th Window, which takes me on a trip through the creation of the Universe and back again. I love every track! AntiStar is maybe the greatest closer to a Massive Attack album I've ever heard (okay, Atlas Air too) and that silence followed by that sweet ambient instrumental outro make me feel like I'm comfortably cocooned in an embryo of cosmic sound.
