Thank you for the fine dismantling. Extraordinary water flow. I’m sure the farmer appreciates your labors. The beavers……! See you on the next, Jonathon. 😊

this is where a set of long handled post hole diggers would have helped, they are my go to tools for this, plus the potatoe rake u got.. i promise, those hole digger, clamp, dig, tunnel, grab etc.. after5 minutes of getting the hang of them.. u would easily built u a quick drainage channel..while releasing the pressure.. awesome vid!!! no joke..think on it.. i deal with beavers all spring and winter here on the lakes! cheers and stay safe andhaelthy! from the Maine Woods!

Amazing as usual. Thanks for keeping us entertained. I’m always amazed at how much muck the beavers pile into their dams. Amazing little engineers. 🇨🇦

Keep in mind, that situations like this occur because we keep destroying animal habitats. If there is a suitable area nearby where the beavers can live their lives without inconveniencing important things like bike paths, someone should take the time to move them.

love ur videos & all the hard work u do. Maybe u should get a drone to survey large properties like this, to make it easier for you to find these types of dams. :)
@jamessublett66510 ай бұрын
You need to watch msTECH86 and toss what comes off the dam off to the sides more get rid of you sticks first, all you are doing is digginng out right in the middle and the beavers will use what you move to build it back, Be Aware and Be Smart, God Bless

It will take one night for the beaver to have that little bit of opened dam closed off again. As suggested by some comments, a big excavater is needed to remove that large of a dam to make any difference.

👍 the beavers actually never rebuilt in this location, if you continue on in order of videos you will see a update video in this location 😊 hope you have a great week 👋🏻

A very old, well constructed dam. Very hard to take those down. And the beavers don't "destroy" as much as they help. They create places for waterfowl, and water reserves for other animals can use in droughts. Hopefully they can find a better place to make a pond that doesn't put train track in peril. A bike trail... People can ride on any road, so not a huge concern. But train tracks need protecting.

There's plenty of room around the dam, you need an excavator.
@christyjohns34649 ай бұрын
Why not have an excavator come in and dismantle the dam since you are very experienced at removing beaver dams? Glad you got it drained.

You better hope there were no beavers there. If there was you just did them more harm . You can kill them. I watch post 10 and he will not remove a massive dam like the one you took down. Where he does culvert beaver dam removal at a massive dam like that is illegal to tear down because there will be an active lodge there. He said that in one of his videos.
@foxriverbushcraft23458 ай бұрын
No beavers 🦫 live here around this dam - I have found three massive ponds in witch they live in where there lodges are they are safe for winter 👍 - And It Is Not illegal To drain these dams because they are destroying land and farm owners property - there’s loop holes in the law for a reason 👍 if me and the land owners decide that certain dams need to be ripped out because of flooding to farm land and property damage then that’s what we do - this is a man made stream feed by a water treatment plant
