I love this Elise! So much clothes! I was wondering, if for a video idea, you could go over your "process" of how you put an outfit together. I always want to have more interesting style like you, but I can't put an outfit together LOL. I'm sure your audience would love these tips!! Like why you'd pair some things together, what style elements you like to put together, like jackets over certain outfits. Dresses with certain shoes, etc. Or if you just sort of creatively wing it, etc. Like, what made you decide to put a vest over the dress you wore in this video? While me, I wouldn't even realize it. I'd just wear the dress and be boring, and forget to put on earrings, etc.

At the start of this video you seemed to have more clothes than I've ever had as an adult. Made me smile. I smiled again when you said with the last black dress that it was too similar to the one you were wearing to keep. This after you kept several black and white checks, a pattern you clearly love and suits you. Keeping what you love means it will be worn, that earns it wardrobe space.

I think I need to do this. I like the way you categorised it all. I think that would make it easier for me to let go. I love clothes and hold on to them too much and I don't use them as much as I did as I've moved to Spain and the climate is so different. I'm in the process of doing the same thing. It's exhausting, because unlike you, I have things that are now too large because I have lost a little weight, so I have to try almost everything on🙄. It does feel wonderful to look at organized drawres though that aren't spilling over with clothing I seldom if ever wear. Thank you for the inspiration to continue to tackle the next pile that I have been avoiding a little because it is so daunting! Love your videos!

I really used to struggle with this, I find it hard to decide what to part with. A few years back I tried a new method where you turn your hangers backwards and when you wear things put them back the right way. After a period of time all the clothes still on a backwards hanger need to go. It really worked for me.

Hi Elise, I have a makeover tip for your closet. You should try some hangers called "Huggable Hangers"!!! You will save room and the hangers are strong enough for your heavier clothes. Also, the clothes do not fall off the hanger. Smile!😃💐🍁

I wonder if the mess could be avoided by hanging your clothes instead of folding them...you know, you take one thing out and the whole pile folds down. You could have one tall rail for coats and dresses and a doble one for tops and pants. You can see everything better, avoid wrinkles and once you run out of hangers you know is time to sell/ donate. Just a thought 😁💕

I've checked the Amazon and you can get them there. As well I thought about your top shelves, where you keep your jumpers. What about if you get the medium boxes or baskets and roll the jumpers, put them to the box. At least I do it with my jumpers in my wardrobe. It's my problem as well. I learned Kolmari method.

I have my great grandmother's vintage fur jackets (from the 40s) im SO torn on what to do with them! I don't know if selling them is inappropriate?! Any ideas lol.....there are 6 of them, but only 2 floor length

If they fit you, wear them. Or at least one long and one short. Fur, especially vintage, is coming back into use so you should be able to sell them for a good price. Have a look at similar items on resell sites in your country. Compare age, condition, price and you'll have a good estimate for yours. Plenty would be glad of a fur for Xmas so now us a good time to research. Don't forget to weigh them for shipping costs.

Elise, how would you advise people to care for vintage clothing, including the removal of odours? Fur isn't as common as it used to be. I can't wear it myself, my mother offered me her fur jacket decades ago and I felt sad wearing it despite looking good. Wasting old fur in good condition makes no sense, as it doesn't bring the animals back to life. Goes against the thrifter in me to destroy them.
