Massive Catch! Making $6000 After a Few Hours of Jigging For Cod (Skrei) in Norway!

Jigging for north-atlantic cod in amazing Northern Norway, home of Lofoten and North Cape.
During late winter, the annual cod visit to the coasts of Northern Norway. The cod migrates from the vast northern oceans to mate in coastal waters. After some few weeks it returns to the Northern Ocean.
This video is from April 6th 2023, this day yielded me close to 2700 kg. Only costs are diesel and food, and some new nylon line for my jigs.

Im in canada We get cod as bycatch when halibut fishing We get 60 cents a pound canadian for it 😢 Better off to bring it home and give it away Shame for one of the best fish in the sea

Wow! I see 1 kg is 2,2 pounds, so that is a bad price! In 2023 the price was NOK26-NOK30/kg uncut here in Norway... I see there are 8NOK in 1CAD, so CAD 3,50/kg here. Always been so low price over there? BTW, here I every so often get halibut as bycatch when cod jigging! Pays approx. NOK50/kg uncut. Both species make the most excellent dining!
