Another great effort, despite the cheaters. I was watching an A Cat riders video, Tour of Watopia Stage 4, just a couple of days ago. At the very start of the ride he bolted out of the start without much effort, but quickly slowed down, looked very strange to see, so I watched him closely. He appeared to be too busy chatting and joking with someone standing or riding next to him (out of shot), throughout the ride. This fool was so busy chatting he failed to notice that the machine he had attached to his bike was running fast at 10 w/kg and yet his legs were not moving at all! As soon as he noticed he appear to turn something off below his handlebars, the w/kg slowed instantly and he began riding again at 1.5 w/kg! These cheaters are all over the place … ignore them and ride our own race ‘wake-up Zwift’.

What. No way! I mean. Every mmorpg Game has anti-cheat software or specialists to weed out cheaters to keep it fun for everyone. Except @gozwift. Cone of shame is damage already done in the field, repeat offenders are not banned from events/races. Guys riding on rollers? That's just nuts!
@tmelendezmia Жыл бұрын
The cheater got disqualified! And the person that was riding 2nd with similar numbers at the time seemed to have gotten out before he/she got caught also. So Zwift took care of it. We still need to flag them over and over.

I was doing ride a couple of months ago and commented on a guy (gender assumed!) who *averaged* 75km/h *up* the leg snapper climb. I casually commented asking the other riders in the group if they also thought he was compensating for a small.... appendage. I then got a warning email from Zwift that language like that was not allowed. So apparently using the word "penis" is offensive and could get a long-time subscriber (2017?) banned, but obvious cheating is perfectly OK. If only Zwift could have been founded in a sensible country like the Netherlands, rather than being managed by some crazy Americans 🤣

Mywhoosh requires that riders take a video of the weight-in and two sources of power for the higher ranked races where there’s money on the line. I think also video during the ride. Unfortunately their platform still needs a lot of work.
@RideWithGerben Жыл бұрын
Yeah. ZWIFT got the market cornered. And it's proven difficult to compete against that.
@marccale9890 Жыл бұрын
It's all well and good to say "ignore the cheaters", but if you take racing on Zwift even semi-seriously (which I do) a cheat will always disrupt and influence the race in some way. Extremely frustrating. Zwift racing can't really be treated like real racing: there are too many variables even without the cheats, so I can't take it too seriously, but if you invest a big effort and you see an obvious cheat beat you, it can be maddening.
@RideWithGerben Жыл бұрын
Agree. If you treat Zwift as a MMO Game, which it is, a good anti-cheat system should be implemented. Not this basic "report it as a community and maybe we gonna do something with it if we have the time".
@chrismadge7292 Жыл бұрын
Yep agreed, if you race it’s bloody annoying when there are obvious cheaters. I just treat it as a game, and if these sad people get their kicks by cheating then so be it, just ignore them in the knowledge that you are probably better rider than them.

How many cheaters can there be at this level, surely not many so why is it so hard for Zwift to take action. Unless you’re registered as a pro tour level rider you have no business being able to output those sort of w/kg levels, in fact even a pro may encourage a few raised eyebrows. You’d imagine a simple algorithm would catch these guys. Excellent (legitimate) power levels from our host however, great watching.

It should be so easy to get rid of. At least in all cat races under A. And A races above a certain w/kg should just have outside rides that support their claim power. Don't know what to do about weight doping thought. But there's a crazy amount of riders under 45kg..
