Well my son is also a trash picker so this bridal shop went out of business and my son was checking all the dumpsters behind the shopping center so he didnt actually know what dumpster belonged to which store. but he was looking ln one of these dumpsters and found 12 beautiful brand new wedding dresses that was worth around $5000.00! and he got them all for free. He brought them home and gave them all to me. Can you imagine seeing someone riding down the street on a bicycle carrying 12 wedding dresses! lol That was the epic find of a lifetime.

My greatest find this year was finding the strength to stand up for myself and not allow toxic people to continue to affect me. Been about a 2-3 year struggle which I finally was ready to push back. Love the videos! Love how truly authentic you both are.

I'm going through the same with my narcissistic mother and enabling family. It's miserable and I'm not anywhere close to ok. Have no life. These videos remind me of a few years back when I had a life and went thrifting all the time. Glad you're making the change... there are lots of people out there who will happily make your life a toxic clown show.... and they're good at it! Me and my rescue pitties at the crew. Feels like it's us against the world these days.

My husband's family is from that town and they are deeply in the rich history of that town. We had moved into his family's house with the intention of buying so it would stay in the family but the property taxes were CRAZY! But it is a great little town for the most part.

I love yard sales and have been going to them so often that I did not search the papers to know where to go, I just made a route and would find many. Not anymore.😞We do not have many at all now. I loved listening to Findley's chatter when you were in the car. Such a sweet music to my ears. Thank you for taking this old granny with you for the ride.

Our greatest find this year at yard sales so far: an original aluminum tree, in the original box, with the branches still in the sleeves inside the box, paid $7 sold online within 5 minutes of posting for $225 plus shipping. Could have sold for a fair bit more I understand, but we were happy for that amount. Happy Sale-ing everyone

It was 1999 on my first computer. When eBay still allowed you to contact someone directly. I saw where this guy had paid 79.00 for a dish that was broken .. It was Metlox Pottery, the Contempora pattern . I only bought it because it looks like a doodle my husband draws . Turns out those dishes were a wedding gift to this person . I got it all for 2.00 and put it in a box for years in my 100.00 storage building . I had the perfect bowl he had bought broken for 79. And a bunch of plates and cups . I have a picture somewhere with his check in the bowl .He was an architect from Seattle. It turns out they're had just been a show there. Anything Emmes Era was totally fire. I didn't have a clue it was all about the doodle for me . I sold the plates for 125. each if I remember correctly. That was fun .

Hi guys! This is not a find but we just got our roof replaced (so YAY!) today cuz of hail damage. Tennis ball sized hail! As far as best picking find was a month ago in my neighbor's garbage, we found brand new aquarium glass tops and new light still in the boxes, worth about $150.Perfect as we were just setting up our new 60 gallon tank. In the same trash was a perfectly good riding toy construction digger. We gave that to my sister and she gave it to her 5 year-old grandson. He loves it!

My favorite find was a large printed artistic copy of a painting of two fisherman from Monhegan Island Maine. This was just after I lost my husband. He grew up on that island, and after 44 yrs of marriage, I'm now a widow. It cost maybe a few bucks but brought so much comfort to me. Like someone above was saying, it's ok. Finley was a very good girl going to all the yard sales.. I found a full bottle of retired Victoria's secret body mist worth $70. Or maybe more. I bought this scent on eBay a while back and it was very expensive so when I seen it at a yard sale I grabbed it. I didn't resell it. Kept it for myself.
