If a piece is worth it, due to it being such a unique find, than getting them tailored is worth it, and if not then buying a new one is worth it, but if you love a piece and know you won't be able to find the same thing ever again, than tailoring them to your body is a go

for the skirt at 3:00 you were asking about keeping: it doesn't look too big, to me, but waking/sitting might change that. also, you don't want to have a skirt that doesn't fit right cause it'll just be uncomfortable and you'll constantly be adjusting it. Id say sell so someone who the skirt will fit better can slay cause it's super cute

Idk if you'll even see this bc I'm lil late BUT: *the [non-tailorable] skirt* - rip the seams where the leather buckles meet the denim. Put the skirt on and pin the leather buckles where you'd need them to be to fit a little bit tighter (liiiikeee id maybe try moving them EACH more towards ctr-front by 1/4in- 1/2 inch). Mark where they need to be, in something easily removable like chalk & feel free to take a pic too. Pin any excess fabric in the hip gaps, where the seam is open. Take it off, repin/adjust pins if needed, and at this step you can check if you need to trim the leather buckles at all (shouldn't be too noticable if you cut at the same angle they're at) if you don't mind them overlapping the lettering, you can skip that step. Trim any excess fabric you pinned earlier, keep cuts parallel to existing seams, for a *guide* of sorts. Now sew the leather buckles back on in their new position and boom 💥 Ps- You should hand-sew if you don't have leather- or denim-needles. If you don't sew, you can use a heat-activated seam-bond, or [last resort] fabric glue! (Both of the last options should be at Walmart 🖤)

in regards to the super unique mini skirt that is too loose; although it doesn't look loose or ill fitting from an outsiders perspective, if you still wanted to take it in it might be possible for your tailor to change out the leather buckle hardware for something that tightens more so you dont lose the design in the back.

(Edited typos) I totally need to clean out my wardrobe, I have a lot of things I don't wear because of the fit, style, or color. Not to mention, I've been thrifting more and found some fantastic pieces for my whimsigoth dream closet!!! While getting rid of things you don't use anymore is great, try thinking of how much clutter be prevented from changing how you shop. Be mindful of how much you consume and find solutions that best fit you and your community! Selling/donating stuff you dont use anymore can feel like unloading a burden, paired with the idea of someone else finding really great use and joy out of your things. Target, Home Goods, Ross, and Walmart may have cute things, but how much do you really need? How much can you really fit? Are you still going to love it in three years? Let's work on bettering ourselves and the planet by using mindful shopping techniques!!!

I think low rise looks really good on you because you have a shorter torso! I avoid low rise bc my torso is long and it just makes my torso look even longer when I’m in low rise so I opt for mid rise or high rise. All about the silhouettes, you definitely look better in low rise!
