This did a lot better than I thought it would. Very cool deck! Would love to see you revisit this!

Just started the video match 1 game 1 but I'm imagining this 4-armed robot dragging two gigantic hammers, each with two arms to just squish his enemy between them like a hydraulic press

One of my favorite things about these types of decks is it gives me unique cards for my goofy commander decks and very silly kitchen table "vintage" decks me and my buds play with. I had no idea Grip of Phyrises existed but I know for dang sure Im getting a few copies to play around with.

Seeing a hammer build without Inkmoth nexus is wild to me

… why does it keep working? Is precariously stacked permanents making a big guy really just that good?

40:26 Woah, that’s cool tech I’ve never seen. Actually, that’s kinda inspiring a deck idea

41:55 they played the Talon Gates as land for turn for mana so the phasing ends at the beginning of the next upkeep anyway

That went better than I expected, but adding Tamiyo over Emry for card advantage seems like an odd choice to me, even without Baubles in the deck.

-4 Brainstorm, -3 Tamiyo, +4 Baubles, +3 Emry.

I like grip of phyresis in my sideboard of control decks. I've blown out a bunch of d&t decks with it

Love seeing a short ThrabenU video (not that I don't live the long ones!), because it means something goofy is about to go down. Win big or lose fast, right?

Weirdly they did not ask you to play a token deck.

Hey Phil, long time lurker here. I know you got your own schedule and interests but it would be really cool if you dived more into modern, it's a very interesting format right now, more so than legacy imo, you can brew so many awesome tribal, jank and just fun decks more so than legacy, which seems to be predetermined in the sense of what can or cannot work, whereas modern is in a weird phase right now where there are lots of undiscovered/hidden gems. Anyway love the content bro
