Lolong was 20 ft 3 in. This guy is around 17 or 17 and a half feet. Sad we couldn't measure him properly.

I kept fearing that backhoe operator would accidentally impale that croc. I don't get why they just couldn't let it crawl into the water on it's own when it was ready. It was probably just tired and stressed.

Jenne it’s released to a safer location duh plus at this point croc is exhausted because it gave one hell of a fight before it was returned back to the river. Yep this thing came off the reserve and started feeding on Dogs, Chiks, Kids and etc.

As per what people in the video are saying, the crock was actually found close by to the place it was finally released. It was stuck in a narrow channel(this i got to know later from local news) so had to be rescued and put back to a broader area of the river.

They never should've used the bucket of that end-loader in the manner which they did. 1) They should've left the croc enter the water under its own power...which it would've. It was no doubt in shock, & leaving it alone would've been the wisest choice! 2) Instead of utilizing the loader bucket w/the "teeth" extended, they should've used the side of the bucket to nudge the croc toward the water. Wouldn't surprise me if the croc died shortly thereafter because it had been so traumatized!

@VLAD DIGBY, There is another Saltwater Crocodile in the same river named "Tyzon" that is about 16.5 feet long (one foot shorter than this croc) but Tyzon is more dominant and bullies this croc around. Tyzon is enormous as well, over one ton in weight.

Kriss Kross Crocodiles can be hard to find in remote areas such as where Lolong was caught due to how much cover & how far away those crocodiles are from any big city inhabited by a large human populations. Also the crocodiles in those areas that the 30ft long crocodile was said to be lurking had dense vegetation to use as cover along with how long those crocodiles can stay underwater with how remote those areas are in the Philippines.
