I know, I know...waaaaayy off topic, but--that music. This is the same music as in the new world (at least with seeds of change cuz I remember this from one of your other videos). Now, hear me out--Anno bros are either trolling or throwing in crazy easter eggs. From 0:33 to 0:50 it is basically...ohhh...what's it called in music? Like a chord progression or something? It is Sonne, from Rammstein, slowed way down with strings on top to sound time appropriate.

great job, unfortunately it doesn't work for me with other map mods (flickering). I use old world plus with no sunkentreasure session (serp). It would be cool if something was changed for this

It's the old world plus mod... Having multiple crown falls on the same map is widely known to cause flickering issues.

Yes, I know, that's why I play without sunken treasure. Then there is no flickering with the old world plus mod. It's just a shame that errors always occur with more than one crown falls map. Someone should fix the problem

No they can't... the tools used to create the islands in the game are licensed from a third party and we do not and will not ever have access to them. So we have to make do with what we have available.

In one of the dev diaries many moons ago they shared an in-depth look at how they built island maps. They actually use topography maps to sculpt proper elevation and geographical features. This makes the island maps gorgeous but also hard to reproduce - without the software they are using you will need to do this by hand and let me tell you - you really do not want to set every square on an potential island manually.
