Well it would be interesting to see how he fights while in flight, MOS superman fighting was really rigid at times sort of like if 2 speedsters were fighting rather than 2 kryptonians, the 40s animation was very energetic and fluid in movement, I can see this superman being similar to that as he utilizes momentum of him flying

I still think the "Ultraman" is the Parasite, who's stolen Supes' powers weakening him which is why the Engineer stands a chance and Supes has to fly away. Probably crash lands outside Fortress of Solitude, hense the snowy S pic we first got.

I still don't necessarily want to give Mr. Terrific's team the Justice League name until we get more information. I'm still essentially getting the feel that it's like the Ultimen in 'JLU' in which a lot of the classic images and iconic locations are being referenced and used, like the image of the Hall of Justice. As for the mystery villain, in the same way I don't want to call him Ultraman until we get more info. But seeing as he's got powers which can match Superman I can guess he's not Ultra-Humanite. But I'm still not entirely sold on the clone theory. In fact, thinking about it, that could be Apollo but before he develops that persona. Apollo, like the Engineer, is a member of the Authority. A human who was genetically enhanced to essentially be a Superman-like super-soldier. He's got a lot of the same powers of light, super strength, and heat vision and is powered by the sun. Yes he's not wearing the white and gold uniform, but the black suit could be said to absorb more sunlight, giving him a boost in strength over Superman. Both he and the Engineer could have been 'created' by Lex Luthor on the behalf of Amanda Waller to try and create superheroes they can control and eliminate corporate sponsored heroes and individual vigilantes. Luthor's manipulations wreak havoc, as always, and Superman must both fight and free them in order to stop Lex's plot. This leaves Engineer and Apollo (again I might be way off) disillusioned with government work, leaving the opening for the eventual Authority movie Gunn has planned.

My theory is that the fortress scenes will take place after this fight. The engineer will be heavily injured from the fight and superman will save her by healing her in the fortress. This will help the engineer see the good in superman and she will then help him in the final battle against ultraman (or Solaris, whoever the big bad is)
