As someone who has spent countless hours on trails of animals shot like that, the sounds between 7:18 and 10:25 is absolutely perfect. You hear your own breathing in your ears, adrenaline rushing to make you alert to every sound, every footstep, every crunch of grass or leaf underfoot, every rustling of clothing, the sweat collecting in the palm of your hand where you're gripping the rifle...Everything you see, the incredibly small droplets of blood you seem to spot out of thin air on the ground, in the dust, between the red specks of grass we also have in South Africa, it's so perfectly captured. Well done. Can't wait for my upcoming trip!

Sarah great shot. Rod another great video as usual brother. Like I said before. Africa is a dream trip for me. I've been lucky enough to have been able to get to hunt around the United States, Canada and Norway. But it was back when my father was alive. And my uncles were alive over in Norway. It's been so long since I've had a chance to do any real hunting. The one thing I truly miss is. How my Dad and uncles always taught us how important conservation was also while we were hunting. Anyone can go out and shoot an animal. But unless you also learn how to also use conservation in your hunting process you are not a true hunter. That's my own opinion on that. But Rob the Africa videos have been totally amazing. Now I can't wait for the Big drive to get started. Take it from someone who lived in Alaska for a while. You and your family and crew are going to love it. And if Sarah and the girls happen to talk you into getting a husky or malumute pup while you're in Alaska. Watch who you are getting it from lol. Some of the sled dog racers inbreeding wolves with their dogs for the heavier bone structure for pulling the sleds. And some have wolves just for that purpose. And sometimes the wolfs get together. That's how me and my brother get our first 2 wolves. One of my brothers friends was a sled dog racer and we wanted 2 malumute pups to take back east to our home. 6 months later we had what we thought were malumutes but they were huge. Much bigger than a normal malumute. My brother called his friend in Alaska. The guy laughed and said you wanted malumutes then told us they were wolves 100% pure wolves. We never had any problems with them. We brought them up as regular dogs. They loved people and children. Since then I've had over 30 different wolves and many different wolf hybrids over the years since I was a teenager. I'm 62 now and both me and my daughter still have wolves. She's got my Grey wolf and I have a female Northern Artic white wolf. And if they are trained right they are great animals. But don't get it twisted. They are still wolves and wolves are wild animals. But we have been lucky enough that the one's we have had over the years have been gentle as lambs for the most part. Hybrids on the other hand can be work a lot of work. But like I said great video Rob. Can't wait for the road trip to get started. You and everyone else will have a great time. Stay safe, Safe travels and God bless you Sarah the girls and your crew brother.

At 4:36, Sarah has a long sleeve shirt, long pants, and a back pack. Then we cut to some spiders and come back at 4:43 and she has totally changed clothes to a short sleeve t-shirt and shorts. Is this the same day? Looks like two separate hunts put together to look like one. Or, was the change of clothes in the back pack? Went behind a bush and changed? Good hunt either way.

I don't know about other states, but New Mexico released Oryx in Southern NM, near White Sands Missile Range, and the Organ Mtn region near Las Cruces. It's a once in a lifetime hunt. Veterans get 1st dibs, but they might do some out of state hunters on an Oryx, and we also have bighorn sheep to hunt. Come to NM-maybe on your way back home, take the Southern route. We have a UFO museum, spacewalk, etc... (I'm in Roswell) lol that the kids might like to visit!

Great video!! Gotta love a woman that can handle moist game dung then put her finger to her face to make the hush sign immediately after that. Seriously loved it. Also after shooting even with a suppressor that hurt the left ear. As someone in the hearing care business, be careful especially on that off side ear. ( shoot right handed/protect left ear) that loin looked delicious!!!!
