So how many diamonds have you mined at herkimer ? Seems most of what you are finding are crystals. Im debating whether to visit crater of diamonds down south or to try my luck at herkermer upstate New York. I live on long island in New York.

It's worth the trip to come dig! I dig on private property we own if I were you look up crystal grove they a fairly new and they pulling some really cool pieces out . No real diamonds these are herkimer diamond quartz crystals

Ther herkimer diamond quartz crystal is actually just under the real diamond for hardness .pretty sure it's the hardest quartz there is besides the real diamond
