The optimal word for this hive removal, brutal. What started out as a simple hive removal from a wall, turned into the most difficult removal I've done this year. Also, with the amount of bees we vacuumed, and the trouble I had with the queens, that's correct, queens, as in plural one this one, will require at least multiple videos, and I hope you will check those out in the up coming weeks. But for now, sit back and enjoy the outcome of this removal. Thanks for watching. God's peace to all. Mr. Ed

It’s free because you keep the bees and sell the honey people can go in and kill all of the bees for about $10

@@rustyshackleford6693 Not really. In Texas it is illegal to sell honey from removals. And if I want more bees, I can split one of my 150 hives in about 5 minutes vs this example of an 8 hour removal.
@JeffHorchoff
@JeffHorchoff 9 ай бұрын
Rusty, anyone who removes bee as a profession does not need more bees or honey, they already have to much of both. Also, by law, honey that is removed from a cut out is illegal to sell as the source of the honey is not known or the fact that the honey may be contaminated with chemicals by someone who tried to kill them . You are correct, "people can go in and kill all of the bees for about $10," but for so many other people who care about the bees and the benefits they provide for humans, realize that bee wranglers provide a service, and just like doctors and lawyers, for the services rendered, a fee is justifiable and they will happily pay for that service. God's peace brother. Mr. Ed

@@JeffHorchoffexcuse me if I'm ignorant, but what are you doing with all of those honey then? You surely have dozens of swarm at this point which are actively producing honey. Do you dispose them? Are you even allowed to give them away for free?

There are a few occasions when these kinds of videos are so impressive, but this is one of them! You could have walked out on this 500 times. You could have taken off into the air conditioning and left some of those bees to die. You could have not done a thorough job and just throwing away the parts that were tough. But you did not! You protected the bees you protected the property you protected each other and having watched your video I wanted to thank you. Jeff if you're going plug in the vac while you work you need to get a short extension that you tie off to the handle.... The plug on that vac is soldered onto a circuit board. That's all that holds it. If you trip on the card it'll pull the plug off the circuit board.... Ask how I know. With an extension it can be a remote disconnect

I told Charlie to film that bit as a joke. I had just dropped a chunk of honey comb and it went down from my waste to my knee oozing honey the entire length. I had to use water to clean it up before the bees started attacking me to get to the honey, and it looked just like I wet myself. Anyway, there's nothing wrong with laughing at yourself, especially since I found it so comical. Happy to hear you enjoyed the video, thanks so much for taking the time to watch it.
