I would imagine the government bought all the properties that are in the construction zone. That way they can work faster and without concern for people's property.

Jamaica really needs planning and building code. People should not be allowed to just build where they feel like. It adds to the cost of construction.

A lot of these homes were built in the 60's & 70's. The government of the day should have done their homework 😢 they know from 2012 that the roads are going to widen? The government had 12 years to purchase whatever land they needed for the widening of the road. This government did a lot wrong to the people of St Mary on the junction road widening, they took the people's land and didn't even pay for the land because the poor people didn't have any title for the land 😢 😢 Jamaica has two laws one for the poor and the other for the rich.

@@waynemcfarlane1233 I don't understand how you said it's their land and they have no titles. People are building any and everywhere without permission. The law needs to be charged and proper permitting and building codes should be developed. All this nonsense Leeds to extra cost when building new roads

If this road is now close it means that the detour is going up to Harbour Head Road then turn down Market Road. Can they please fix the pot holes on Market Road. Next time I go to Port Morant I think I will be lost as I won't recognise the roads. Good job and thanks Mr Klarityflex always look forward to your updates Stay safe

Asphalt is 100% recyclable. Given how pricey it is, wonder why there do not seem to be any attempts to save it and reuse it.

St.Thomas don't need any hotel? Hotel work is slavery work 😢 What St Thomas really needs is some manufacturing plants, Shipyard would be good, the development of Cow Bay into a shipping Port would be good.
