Great video Adam, that coil is awesome!.

Did you put the square piece in (same for 6" small coil) with the mounting hardware on the outside of the coil ear?

Yes 👍

Unlucky about the scratch mate but we have all been there. Lovely condition though and at 17inces down well done 👍

It's really irksome when you scrape a coin. But everyone has or will misjudge and do it. You just have to be thankful it wasn't a really old and valuable one. Another good watch Adam.

I've been undecided on the Legend thus far, however, seeing the depth it reaches on this video I'm definitely going to get one. Many thanks Adam.

I have the legend, and the Deus2, and a CTX3030. This might get depth under laboratory conditions, but when you start throwing real life items into the soil, thats where the more expensive machines shine. The cheaper units like the Legend can't filter out the noise, thus they can't detect coins in real life.
@WOW-mk6nm2 жыл бұрын
Take this in the city, or anywhere it's not as pristine as a field, and the legend dramatically loses its depth
@JohnRitson782 жыл бұрын
Go for it, after owning over 15 detectors and some in the ££££ range I got back into the detecting world and the Legend is more than good enough and as they say "Why pay more for less" plus the learning curve is much easier with the Legend than any other detector I have owned, after all I would rather be digging than playing with settings and the constant updates improve it each and every time and the fanboys do not like this.
@WOW-mk6nm2 жыл бұрын
@@JohnRitson78 Key word "good enough". Learning curve? this stuff isn't rocket science.
@JohnRitson782 жыл бұрын
@@WOW-mk6nm You really have a chip on your shoulder, I would advise you calm your self down it is a hobby and some users cannot figure their detectors out as well as others, that is life. As for points on my choice words, yes it is good enough and getting better as subsequent updates come through from field trials.

Great video as always Adam, looks like the coils doing it's job, great depth. Hopefully im going out tomorrow to try out the detech 13" on the simplex, wish me luck.

Good luck! I never tried the Detech 13" but the 13.5" SP35 is astounding!

hi. what settings did you use please?
@DTEKTSUSSEX2 жыл бұрын
Hi, Field mode, recovery 1, sensitivity 25, M1, G discrimination pattern.
@ryckasu23002 жыл бұрын
@@DTEKTSUSSEX I'm always in M2 I think M2 it's using all the frequencies at the same time and always using 2 tone like this I get less false signals
@DTEKTSUSSEX2 жыл бұрын
That's not quite right. Both M1 and M2 use an array of different frequencies. M1 is weighted towards higher conductors and M2 is weighted towards lower conductors 👍
@scoutingforhistory45842 жыл бұрын
Great depth on that penny Adam. Is the weight difference noticeable? I'm sure it's quite substantial compared to the 6".
@DTEKTSUSSEX2 жыл бұрын
Thanks! It's actually not as noticeable a difference as the SP35 on the Simplex. It is a little heavier than the stock but not much and it remains well balanced. My arm used to ache with the SP35. I barely noticed with this!

Any deeper your going to need a mining permit 😝 and a pit pony
