I have found that under trees are typically good finds. Back in the day before people were in to much of a hurry to enjoy nature people would lay and nap or just sit under trees i think its stuff that fell out pockets and such.

Awesome finds! Really like finding tags with writing! I got a couple dog licenses, ornate buttons and about a dozen or so local miners tags dated 1908-1930
