i think each and every person who watched this may have nearly or did share a tear it would only be human. No Every Cop is a Bad Nasty person, Like This Cop Mitch Said If You Show Respect Then You'll Receive It Back, You Only Get Treated The Way You Treat Others Simple. He's a Normal Person Out Doing A Normal Job To Put Food On The Table For His Family. Here In Scotland A Lot Of The Police Are Arseholes Just Like Our Government But That's A Whole Different Conversation lol . Anyway Hat Off Too You Mitch.

@@Fiona-sk1rz a normal job?? To kill and get away with it. To put people in jail?? Even if the person commited a crime the crime is done. The person going to jail is still going to live locked up but is still alive and that is not going to bring a person back to life. The same is with all crimes. The damage is deeper than what people know.

Refuse to pay taxes on the grounds you aren't satisfied with police services. See what happens. It's important to live in reality. That being said this officer is amazing and it's a shame we can't clone him.

Officers who work in the schools try not to really arrest students or fine them. Usually, They will talk with the student and try to get the message across. Somethings they do need to arrest or fine students for but often they will just talk to the student. They also assist with investigations or interviews related to student also. Usually, The officers that they get for these jobs are awesome and care about the students. You would be surprised how many students actually have arrest warrants or violate their probation which require them to arrest students also.

Just dont forget, its not a circle. In order to have good and caring students like this there has to be a good and caring environment and people to show the right example (teachers, parents etc). Making change means creating this environment for the kids to grow up and become decent human beings and I believe this man and probably most of the school staff has succeeded in that.

No, they really aren't. Not saying they are all corrupt, abusive and violent, but very few would give a person with disabilities any time or attention. I know this from 20 years as a community crisis worker, having seen hundreds of officers who could care less whether people are taken to hospital to get the help they need or put in jail. The worst thing though is the standard practice of covering for the bad apples. The "No Rats" philosophy among police is pervasive and for those who do report a colleague, there are severe consequences.

And we are all seeing the evidence in front of our very eyes in one jurisdiction after another. When a senior citizen is assaulted and one cop out of dozens attempts to help, that's evidence. When a wall of cops assault a peaceful protest for a photo op, and not one objects to the crime, that's evidence. I could go on, but you can see the evidence that's right in front of you too.

When adults "talk to kids", you get more results. Kids will feel more comfortable when serious issues do arrise if the adults handle themselves and set the example in turn the minor will follow the example set. Cooperation will be more willing if a kid trusts you and knows that your not going to let things fly with the offending party but also being fair and consitant in discipline. Doing the opposite or nothing at all leads to mistrust and more disobediance. This is how any SRO should be with kids. The true safety of any campus must have the trust of especially the student body because when bad things do happen things won't be told or said either if there is no trust. This can sadly even turn deadly as what has been seen in recent major attacks. Our future depends on it.

The media only divides us which leads to hate and misunderstanding of each other even though at the end of the day, no matter your skin color, no matter your religious beliefs, no matter your political beliefs, and no matter your sexual preferences, we will all still die and leave this world the same way, so we might as well make the best of it

@@twstdreality 2% sounds small, until you think about it. How is it OK for the police to ever shoot and kill unarmed people? Or, since guns are legal, even armed people who are innocent. Most people know that there are officers with good intentions, and officers doing good things. But when some are shooting unarmed people and almost always get away with it, its clear that the police system is not built to protect people. This makes sense if you look at it's history, which starts with slave patrols. Taking part in such a system is wrong, no matter how good the person may otherwise be. We need to replace the white supremacist systems with good ones before anyone can claim to be a "good cop". This is not coming from sensationalized media. This is real life.

This is by far the best video I’ve ever seen on social media. What these kids did was definitely off the charts. Good stuff!! Great Job to all those students especially the ones that narrated the video they’re NATURALS N THEY CAN ONLY GET BETTER!! I’m looking forward to their futures on the big screen. Heartwarming video that we the viewers can definitely feel the love. Thank you for sharing your story it warmed a lot of hearts. ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

What you have done her is more important than you even know. I have tears in my eyes right now. Those that protect us need so much respect and love and you gave that to MIch. Many props to the students that can see that law enforcement is not your enemy. Some are actually great people.

@Marty To be fair. courts have already ruled cops have no duty to protect individuals(South v. Maryland, Bowers v. DeVito, Warren v. District of Columbia) so when you say they protect us, that is not entirely true. Cops are charged with enforcing the law, keeping general order and protecting government institution. So while you can have cops who do help people it's more about the individual then the actual job. You say law enforcement is not your enemy..well that depends..so what about when law enforcement was beating and jailing blacks for using the white entrance or when law enforcement was raiding homes of people suspected of being homosexuals? How about when law enforcement sent a SWAT team to a farm because they were selling raw milk to willing customers? Law enforcement may not be your enemy, but they aren't your friend either. They enforce the law regardless of the consequences or moral ethics. Some are great people, and some are awful people..the problem is one side thinks all cops are bad and the other side thinks all cops are heroes..i'm more in the "i don't trust anyone who has the authority to take my liberty or my life" So I don't judge the individual cop per se..i judge the institution they work for. Lastly, the functions I listed(enforce the law, keep general order, protect the government) are the SAME functions that law enforcement performs in Iran,Saudi Arabia,North Korea, China,Russia,Cuba...do you think the people in those countries worship their cops?

Officers who work in the schools try not to really arrest students or fine them. Usually, They will talk with the student and try to get the message across. Somethings they do need to arrest or fine students for but often they will just talk to the student. They also assist with investigations or interviews related to students also. Usually, The officers that they get for these jobs are awesome and care about the students. You would be surprised how many students actually have arrest warrants or violate their probation which require them to arrest students also.

@@brianhaflin9799 i had 2 in my school. one we called terminator was a big fat dude who wore terminator shades lol, really chill even though the school was shit and loaded with gangs. the other was a complete bitch lady cop, she knew me by full name because i wouldn't respect her for being such a piece of shit. one day i was running late and forgot my school id, mind you this lady call's me from my first middle and last name.. yet she insisted i needed my id and it couldnt wait till after first period on a testing day that i had little time to run in and finish.. so i call her a bitch and while im in the office getting my id she tried to sneak up behind me slam my face into the desk then handcuffs me.. i had handcuff marks on my wrist for a week out of being so pissed i dragged her by my cuffs to the principals office. some are just out to stir the pot and look for any reason to put hands on you or shoot you. wish they had cameras back then because the bitch even pointed her gun at me because i wouldn't bow to her badge when she's having a power trip.

@@platesomeat for sure... kiei cops aren't too bad they can have a laugh with the locals but you have the odd power tripper in the community but this kind of relationship takes time and trust and you can see he was genuine...those kinds dont realise it but he has made an impact on how these kids will treat their elders and others😊

Some times bad people need an iron fist. Not everyone responds to kindness with respect. You mustve never been around actual criminals if you think cops can protect innocent lives with kindness against dangerous unbalanced humans. Some people just deserve to be taken out for everyone else's safety.

@@enjoyingmyfirstamendment5511 Yes indeed! And these guys are school kids not criminals. You can't just enter a criminal syndicate and ask, "Hey guys I know I'm a cop but how you guys going emotionally today?"
