Still can’t believe the game is coming to an end. I’ve been part of this journey since 2015 with the first game which I enjoyed to death, then this game came out with the worst launch, and I still stayed because I was hopeful, then we got the best recovery period ever, and now today in 2020, it now ends. These last 5 years were such a roller coaster for Star Wars overall, the sequel trilogy getting mixed to negative press, makes sense, the games were mixed as well, as they were not the same as the OG battlefronts, then Jedi fallen order came out, proving single player games are still awesome, and now clone wars is ending on may 4th. What a journey Star Wars has come. I don’t know the future of this franchise, but I’ll stick with it forever. #StarWars4Life!

I’m honestly surprised a lot of people didn’t see this coming, as the writing has been on the wall for months. Slower content drops, DICE cutting corners with different modes, and this generation of console coming to a close. It makes sense though, DICE will be putting all their focus and effort’s into their next-gen games now, like Battlefield 6. DICE deserve a huge round of applause for how they worked relentlessly on Battlefront 2 to turn it around into a great game. As someone who’s been with the game since the beta, I’m incredibly grateful. Battlefront 2 has given me a lot of great memories. Thank You, DICE!

The Moon yeah they could’ve made a World War II battlefield so perfect, but instead they chose to make uniforms inaccurate literally every British uniform is an American uniform, the Germans have only a few historically accurate uniforms, they went with some Feminist agenda by adding female soldiers and using the excuse “because my daughter,” they only had two factions at launch, the game had barely any content and was broken at launch. The game is still fucking broken and feels incomplete. If they took the tone and atmosphere of Battlefield 1 and applied it to Battlefield V, it wouldn’t been a perfect game. Instead it felt like CoD: WWII with bigger maps and vehicles.

The issue is that EA and consequently DICE lose their rights to the Star Wars videogame IP in 2023. That leaves them with 3 years to develop a game from the ground up alongside BF6. The game would likely need to be in pre-production/Alpha stage in order for it to be ready for market by 2023. There's been no news of any such game from the EA or DICE. Don't get your hopes up, it's not looking like we'll see Battlefront 3, at least not from DICE.

It's sad to see new content ending, but I'll still enjoy what's in the game nonetheless. Never got to play Scariff in the last game, so this'll be a treat. At least it sounds like they might still work on bugs and balancing, but that's hard to say for now. Also, regarding the channel, maybe you could turn it into a battlefront centric channel? It sucks that maps like coruscant, mustafar, and dagobah, heroes like jango Fett and Padme, and modes like galactic conquest will not be in Battlefront 2. With the content being over this could mean that Battlefront 3 is coming, if that is the case I hope it is more similar to the original Battlefront games (more of a sandbox and has more of the content that was missing from the newer games).

If there is ever going to be a BF2 I hope it's an improvement with more content and a longer life span but thank you BF2 for the good memories and times I really hope people remember this game not for the terrible launch and numerous glitches but one of the best comeback stories of all time. I really hope that battlefront 3 starts with the same content as battlefront 2 but they add more heroes and villains,better graphics more maps,more gamemodes, maybe more customization options for skins.I think they should throw in some original battlefront content like greedo,director krennic,jyn ect. I really hope the new game(if we get one) can maybe focus on community ideas a lot more like the ahsoka and ventress or savage and mace/qui gon because personally i think the main reason battlefront 2 lacked was because of the original communication between the game and its players.Im really hyped but im sad to see battlefront be left with so much potential i just hope that the new game can keep me entertained and actually enjoyed playing it for as long as battlefront 2 did.

Another fantastic video Ozzy! It's sad that this game made such an amazing and unprecedented comeback at such a weird time... A Long Time Ago in a Galaxy right here. We had Star Wars. 1977 had its first entry carrying the same name. It was beloved and represented something special. 6 years later we saw the end of a trilogy. 22 years after that, the end of a man’s dream, 14 years after that, the end of a story carried by those after. Within these moments, we had been in awe of the factions, stories, and worlds that this galaxy far far away could show. We had the part in us that wished it could be real, that it could be experianced. While desires such as that remain in the dreams of fans at night. We were given something that could replicate such fantasies, the Battlefront series. In 2004 we were granted the first entry. It had gameplay that was fun, classes, and modes. But what stood out the most was the commitment to immerssing us in a story we could never live in. 1 year later, we had its sequel which propelled this goal to new heights with a story made for the fans, new worlds to explore, soldiers to explore, frontiers to fight, and heroes to live. Within its height, the community grew it after developers moved on. Afterwards, we had 10 years of slilence. The gaming industry moved on but we didn’t we waited and held hope for us to relive what we had in a new way. But to constant despair, finally in 2015 we got an answer. Battlefront EA. It was something different, something unlike what came before, something that broke those that waited so long. It never lived up to what it was supposed to be but at least could be enjoyed for what it was. 2017 was a year of the dark times. Battlefront 2 was being released. We had high hopes, the hope of a developer listening, the hope that greed would not corrupt the art. We were wrong. When it launched we experianced the purge of our souls. We saw how the greed of EA divided us, made us turn against each other and the people that put passion into the work. All hope had seemed lost, 2018 was not supporting the game the way we needed it to. Yet at the end, things changed. We recieved Geonosis, Skin for us as brothers to stand out. The rage we felt began to vanish. We wondered if it was just a fluke, an isolated miracle of chance. But we were wrong, while we sat in the darkness we lost hope. We gave up on the game, EA gave up, but Dice didn’t. After Geonosis came Heroes that we needed to inspire us, villians that were needed to frieten us, frontiers we needed to fight in, troopers to fight alongside with, and finally the mode to make us as gamers equal on each side. Maps, Captial Supremecy, Grievous, Kenobi, Dooku, Anakin, Clone Skins, Droid Skins, Coop, Commandos, ARCs, Droidikas, and at its conclusion a celebration of growth, not just as a game but as a community. Now we reach the tragic end, we see the beautiful sun begin it’s set. The mission, the war, is coming to an end. Could more have been done? Yes, the day could have lasted longer. But now Dice has new horizons to persue. With any luck the conclussion of a great trilogy can be made so maybe just one more time, we will have the sun rise on us again. But for now this is the end, the night begins, the night of silence, stagnation, feeling of isolation. But we are not alone. Because we are a community that stands together. We cannot make the sun rise but we can make the darkest nights have a small bit of light. If this is for now or for all time the end, it has been an honor fighting with all of you on the Battlefront. It was all beautiful, not because it lasted, but because we were all part of it. Hold on to Hope that will open the frontier of tomorrow and I promise you, we will get through the night. We will make it through and if we see the sun rise, it will be on a strong united community, with the settled gesture of a smile. May the Force be with you all. Always.
