You can see the foil under the first layer! also if you showing the silver off why wouldn't you show us at least a glimpse of you emptying the suitcase, you took the time to empty it why not show us at least some of it because it is FAKE!

Our inclination at this point is to hold on to it, and see if silver climbs again. Likely even won't sell, at any price, as we are well aware of the precarious state of the economy, teetering on collapse. Sadly, the day may come when precious metals are the only currency being traded, and it may very well take a full ounce of silver to get a tank full of gas or a week's worth of groceries. Time will tell.

My aunt's husband's brother committed suicide about twenty four years ago. He worked for Standard Oil. Anyway....he did not believe in banks. He also never married and lived alone. He hid all his money around the house. Under the carpet, under the floor, inside walls....everywhere. I got to help go through the house looking for all the money. It was amazing. His brother was also a tight wad. I did a lot of work that day and never received a single penny after discovering thousands of dollars. Funny though....and I just happened to think of this....no one searched the yard for what might be buried. Oh shit.

Just wondering why you didn't show the unstacked pile of silver bars? Thats the very reason you have so many doubters.. Just seems fake.

I was wondering where I left that suitcase. Can I have it back with the contents? LOL Nice find! Wait until silver prices rebound before you consider selling. It may be a year or more and they may go down further, based on the predictions on gold. Silver prices seem to follow gold prices, unfortunately. Did the owner of that house die and have no relatives, and you bought the house with its contents? Just curious on how it was left there and you found it. Go Bengals!

Wow what a find... I live in a 100+ year old house wish I could find something like that hidden in the walls or attic lol time to start metal detecting the house. :)

The chest was one of those old shipping trunks from the 1890's, and is built like a tank- likely the reason it was chosen to house a half million dollars' worth of silver bars. Will probably keep it as well, if for no other reason other than a memento of this enormous find.

Nice find. If someone bought the property through estate sale as is, the bars belong to the new owners provided they were not stolen. No doubt they are all real.

Hang on to that silver. Do some research into it's long term supply vs demand structure. silver is 2nd most widely used commodity behind oil. 40% of global mining supply comes from China and Mexico, both of which have known reserves of less than 10 years left. It's not something that is going to happen in 1-2 years, but 10 years from now it will make insane gains. $200-500/oz would not surprise me and is within historical price actions.
@gunitbot611 жыл бұрын
the owner died and no body new about the silver , that's how it got left behind, simple as that, there is no other explanation as to some one would collect bars for many years and then just levee them, or for get about them. if some one can think of a different explanation please delight me , send me a message through google

LOL, thanks for sharing one of our wildest fantasies dude... I know that you must have spent some time making this video (and description), so I won't spoil the fun for everyone (and for you, and for me ;). Make sure you don't spend all of that on candy !

lol i love these people who say to give it back, you need to ask yourself, if you had that many silver bars, would you leave it behind, no the guy that owned that house probably died or something and had no family to go through the house

To those voicing skepticism at the video, and at the bars seen, ask yourself how long of a video would be required to show ALL 19,000+ bars, in an attempt to convince the nay-sayers. We had chopped about an hours' worth of video down to the five minutes seen here, for brevity's sake. What were you guys wanting to see? An hour-long documentary?
@camperkeith89411 жыл бұрын
I hope you do the right thing and try to find out if the previous owner had children. They should inherent it not you. Unless you bought the property and everything in it was included in the price, that's a different story then. Good find for what its worth.
@thevendordude11 жыл бұрын
wow id say that is better than finding buried treasure.. hopefully you are able to keep all that silver and do what you want with it. Also, the chest the silver was in looked to be in remarkable shape as well. Do you plan on keeping that as well?
@CincinnatiGifts11 жыл бұрын
I'm sure the original stacker had his reasons. Safes draw too much attention. Safes literally scream "I HAVE MONEY!!!" A more obvious solution would be to hide them someplace no one would ever look. I mean, how many people have 100-year old chests in their garage? An ideal hiding spot, and genius. A safe the size of this chest would've been needed to hide this much silver, and I think would draw so much unwanted attention from anyone breaking in.

The "intent" or why is not your or anyone else's concern, only who's is it ? Is it a home you bought? If yes..every thing in it is property of the person who owns/bought the home..unless there are circumstances that gives ownership to someone else. The person who was collecting it possibly was doing so without telling anyone & passed away with his/her secret intact.
@CincinnatiGifts11 жыл бұрын
Interesting concept. We never thought of that. Most of the bars we pulled out of there looked mint- even the ones clearly dating from the 70's. Some, obviously, were dirty and tarnished, particularly the further down we dug, but it is quite possible that the aluminum helped further tarnishing from occurring. Thanks for your input.
@markhadley154511 жыл бұрын
The foil may well have been for tarnish prevention. When salt, aluminum foil and water are combined they create a chemical reaction known as ion exchange. During this process, the tarnish on the silver is transferred to the foil. In fact, if your silver is tarnished enough, you'll actually see brown tarnish on the aluminum foil.

Questions, who's garage? who's house previously. I assume your going to pass it to the previous family that actually owned it? Its not a find as you call it. It was in a garage stored in a suit case. The right thing to do is give it to the family that owned it previously.

The original owner died, and could not take the silver with them. Wait for a half decent price, and dump them. All it is is a box of metal, collecting dust. Think of all the nice/rare/cool things one could buy, or the security one would have with that kind of money.. Spend some, save some, invest some.. You could make $400000 last a lifetime of wealth, if you invested it properly.. It is a cool find. And obviously don't be foolish and sell them before the price is right, but don't be on the opposite end of the spectrum either, holding on to them until you die, just so your next of kin can sell them with no regard for your wishes, and piss all the money away partying and wrecking shit..
@basementshaman240711 жыл бұрын
I don't understand why you take them out of the trunk. No one can lift 1200 lbs. and You should cash it all in and spend all that money now.Put some people to work ;don't die hoarding like the first owner.

It is not a matter of being skeptical but I find it odd you do not say where exactly you found it. Did you buy a new house? Did you find it in some other house? It appears you had to have found it where it was, out in the open. It certainly is an incredible find. And you might have said SHIP load. Ha Ha.

All 19,000 bars stacked up? Outside the case? When a HUNDRED of them topple over at the slightest touch??? Are you serious??????? Idiot.
