@@markmccauley8170Depending on how compacted it is, snow has a mass of 50 to 200kg per cubic metre. It's hard to tell exactly how big that is but based on the size of it compared to the people, I'd say it easily weighs a ton, probably a bit more.

This was part of our last season in Tahoe. Locally went viral immediately! What a season!!! Had so much fun 🏂🤙🏼 broke the record 2nd highest level of snow ever documented in Tahoe since the 1950s we got over 700” (inches) 58-60feet!! Shoveling roofs mid to late winter was a major payout. As locals were paying eachother/friends of mine with the proper climbing gear etc. to remove snow from caving in roofs and to prevent any more. They were paying over $100 an hour at points for immediate help. We made it through and had a blast! 🤙🏼👍🏼

We’re in Oregon 20 air miles from Mt Hood and this year we didn’t get any snow… just hail and freezing rain that refused to melt for 2 weeks and we were frozen in for 3 weeks without leaving the house bcuz it was too slippery and we couldn’t even walk to the street without falling down… I’m thankful for my having 50 lbs bird seed and sunflower seeds and peanut butter that they love… also have 2 hummingbird feeder lamps that helped me keep their nectar from freezing. Was 20* daytime temp and was overcast and cloudy so NO SOLAR POWER…..just tiny crystals that fell on the black velvet cloth that I use to take photos of the snowflakes

So sad for you...losing part of your home😢😢😢 It was just like that last winter, Feb & March in Southern CA San Bernardino Mountains. My heart truly goes out to you... many of them are still recuperating from that, including our vehicles (my repairs ammounted to roughly just over $6000) were severely damaged due to the extreme amounts of snow! Twenty foot snow burns everywhere, houses exploding and burning to the ground, trees lost about 2/3 of their growth, massive branches falling off the trees and damaging cars, roads destroyed, no food availability for roughly 2 months, boulders still falling off thee mountain due to damage to the soil, etc. The worst part about our weather back then, it has been proven somebody seeded the clouds left & right, top to bottom...obviously not the government, but a private enterprise) and all the snow got dumped on our mountain region only! . I would be willing to bet it was just the same group that placed fake ballot containers during the last Presidential Election, the same ones that tried to burn down our entire state, the same ones that cancelled forestry protection for 4 years, and thinks it's so funny that our massive Pine Trees exploded when any kind of fire gets near the tree. By the way, the same group that refused to send vaccines (COVID related) for our essential workers and 20 people were buried alive in the midst of the snowstorm. I would guess that would be Donald Trump... I think so 😮💔 His actions killed my mother. He is definitely at the top of my list... and you know which one!!! PLEASE Vote Smart and Go Blue for the very safety of Our Nation and all people here 💙🌈👨‍👩‍👧💙 Prayers are sent your way...and hopefully, if you live in California, you can get help from FEMA. HOWEVER, BE SURE TO APPLY BEFORE THE ELECTION...just in case 😢❤❤❤

I've lived in Tennessee for 20 years and was snowed in with my pussy cats for about 10 days..I thought we would all go mad!.we have some snow but it doesn't stay..a first for our area. Snow was pretty. Ice treacherous..pussy cats are able to go out for their zoomies..just give me normal!!😅

❤😮😅 boy I'll say the word. Holy God too. Boy, that's a strong roof. If it looks like a doorway you walk into, I'm surprised the thing didn't even cave in. That's a lot of snow. That's a good strong roof to the building too. They got some good amount of snow there. I don't blame him for soaring it off the roof and the guys behind them holding them with a safety rope so he don't fall off.

We do this on all our cabins, our lodge, our out buildings and even our greenhouses and workshops, all our barns for our yard critters after every blizzard that comes through our 3 valley's. I personally did it for 5 decades with my sons and now sons do it with our grandsons and when our great grandson's are big enough they to will do it, we do it a bit differently though! Living in Alaska requires a bit of hard labor in the winter months!

Wow! That is a lot of snow. That is a strong house. I am glad I live in Atlantic Canada. That is too much snow for me. I shoveled once this Winter, same as last Winter. It mostly rained during the Winter because the temperatures were too high for snow. Well, other places in my Province got more snow, but I live in an area that either misses or is on the outter edges of bad weather. We didn't even lose power during Hurricane Fiona. There was just small twigs and acorns on the ground the next day. I dislike snow.

I live in Northern Alberta and have never seen even half the amount of snow we got in New Brunswick. The last year I lived there, we had three storms with over a meter of snow. Wet and heavy snow! I have seen a few methods to clear the snow, mainly because you want to control where it lands.

@@eleanorwcarmany8922 When it tips over it becomes apparent that the entire thing was a pile from the ground up. Drifting at the top makes it appear to be on the roof because it's blended with the roof accumulation which was previously partially cleared..

It’s never too deep. The lifts get buried and working personnel is limited when the roads get closed. Kt22 kept spinning at squaw valley the entire season. Upper mnt lifts had to be unburied and would open 1-2 days after a storm stopped.
