Storm Gerrit has brought widespread disruption across Scotland, with much of the country battered by snow, high winds and heavy rain. A unexpected storm formed off North Wales into Blackpool and the Fylde bringing huge winds / squall. Even reports of a tornado in Manchester!

I was the same YESSSS! I live in St Anns and the weather went so crazy, my flat was shaking! That was the loudest thunder I've heard in years and the lightening illuminated my whole bedroom. I was eating chocolate in bed and enjoying nature's soundtrack ❤

Wow! Cracking footage! Had some lightning here in South Wales last night. I've recently moved from an isolated farmhouse (on higher ground amid mountains) to a town and it's bad enough here. It used to howl where I was before in normal rainy conditions! Heaven knows what it'll be like today! Stay safe!

These extratropical anticyclonic storms we get in winter are getting more intense, there was a tornado in Jersey not too long ago and another supercell this year along with the milder weather, everything is getting more intense.

Love a good winter thunder storm. Doesn't happen very often but when they do there brilliant. We had some distant flashes but the bass from the thunder was unbelievable. I was going to chase it but i was already well on my with Baileys and Brandy. Nice coverage, I was wondering if you would be able to get out once i seen the track it was taking. I wasnt expecting a storm.

2:52 This is a mix of a Squall Line and a Rain Bomb, a Rain Bomb is a rare phenomenon where a lot of rain and a lot of cold air dumps out at one stage with winds anywhere between 70-150mph and can last up to 10 minutes. No confirmed Tornado in Blackpool.

By Aussie standards, that storm was weak hahaha. Brisbane especially has copped severe storms far more dangerous than what you just experienced. But for the UK, yeah that was quite a strong storm. Nice work on the camera as well. Have a great New Year!!

Get to Cambodia in rainy season. This happens most days for 2-3 months continuously following by 12-15 inches of rain in an hour or so. The lighting you show is nothing compared to Asia. It’s 10 times worse, the lighting in Cambodia literally happens every 5-10 seconds and shakes the houses lol.

Get yourself out again soon, lots of eruptions and solar flares happening with the sun, x class flare atm which also brings with it amazing aurora borealis sightings and affects the plankton in the sea, makes it luminous in some places!... polar shift also taking place hence the warmer temps, this is my take on all of it after doing a bit of research.. very interesting times, Be safe
