Massive Swell Sends Pumping Surf to All of Australia

We knew it’d be good. We didn’t know it’d be this good. The swell that doubled down along the Australian east coast on the weekend had been lurking around the forecast charts for at least a week. It looked like a classic mid-winter reversal of form - a swell from the east after three months of south? This is kinda predictable, we all hope for it. But as the winds began to build in the northern Tasman Sea last Thursday night, some kind of switch was flicked, and within 48 hours, everywhere from Straddie to Sydney was lighting up. It was the kind of surf people travel thousands of k’s to find, yet here it was, right on everyone’s doorsteps. Here’s a look at 2024’s best weekend so far.

Well if it's so good, why doesn't Surfline ever say so on it's forecasting service? Where are the blue lines advising of really good conditions? I've only ever seen them for surf in Indo. Never in Aus. Or does Surfline prefer telling us how good the surf was AFTER it happened? Thanks for monopolising and then ruining all the decent forecasting services Surfline.
