As a former airman who was stationed at Minot AFB in 1968 and often assigned to temporary duty to missile squadron, the story does not add up with the typical manner that maintenance was done at the base. With that said, I live in North Dakota and worked for Northrop. I was returning home at approximately 10:30 PM in March of 1980 and I spotted a huge triangular UFO hovering over a Minuteman missile silo H 10. It was silent. I thought about stopping to watch it but Hotel launch control facility is just a few miles away from from that site. I was fully expecting to see Security Police from the Launch Control Facility to come hauling ass down the road and I didn't want to spend the rest of my evening spread eagled in a snow back.

I'm curious why you never talk about these same things that hovered over all 12 of the Atlas F missile silos of the 577th Missile Sqd at Altus AFB in Oklahoma in May 1965 AND that one of our missiles in Site 6 blew up in the silo?

Simply, as military security has always clamped down on reporting this stuff until last 2023 when Congress got involved in investigating UAP's. Even with Congress holding hearings last year, it's highly likely that much information is still being held back.
