Really hope this megascale change opens the conversation more about COX rates. In the past we haven't been able to get the conversation past "just de-iron" or "not all content should be completed", but you make a good case in this video comparing it to other raids.

I don't think CoX unique drop rate needs a change, just the distribution of the drops. Nearly 2/3 of the time you get a prayer scroll which just feels awful. Would be sweet if they reduced their frequency in CMs

9:50 1. burning claws were a cool/good item, but man. Get the dragon items outta cox. They already started getting them out with dharpoon and sword. Finish the job 2. one mega rare per raid. Make new content and move elder maul and kodai there since it's clear they're not intended to ever be on the same level of power as actual mega rares. They shouldn't be anywhere near the time requirement to obtain. 3. if pvpers/drunk jmods want a wildy world boss, move dhins bulwark there since thats where it's most used. 4. Pick between dhcb and twisted buckler to rehome elsewhere, and then with the prior 3 points, cox will be proportional to ToB/ToA.

I think the most reasonable chambers fix is to massively reduce the prayer scroll drops in CMs and increase the rate of kodai and elder to ancestral tier, then make tbow 1/19 like scythe from TOB. On top of that make points scale so that rates are more inline with TOB, something like 1/9. It's already the longest raid so that's fair.

It's not only that ToA gives more purples, but it's also way easier to solo. I guarantee that if we had a solo scale ToB and preset layouts for CoX you would see a lot more people doing those raids. You're basically forced to scout CoX raids if you're anything other than a maxed main, a lot of rooms are just not viable for mid game players or ironmen.

I definitely agree with moving some rewards away from chambers, and while this might be controversial but I think moving the buckler, dhcb, claws, and even the elder maul should be the ones taken. Taking away the dhcb and maul would reduce the feeling of "grind this content to get a drop that makes mainly this content easier" while also providing the new content with rewards that are lucrative.

​@@newbornkilik I think Sol Heredit is a walk boss and great example of the way bossing is headed - Jagex realised a while ago that while jad style prayer switching is a staple of pvm it was kind of a crutch method of adding difficulty, so we're seeing a lot more instances in quests and pvm of unique mechanics being used.

Since I started doing chambers I thought the drop table was ridiculous. 2 drops alone have a 58% chance of being your unique and are completely useless after obtaining the first (as an iron at least). The other 10 are a combined 42% chance and it takes so damn long to roll those uniques.

Hey brother, dunno if you remember me but you hosted me a few times on Kick. Firstly I'd just like to say thanks again, it was super cool of you to help out a small noob like me. Secondly I'd like to say that my will to play the game has completely died, I am an ironman with 2k CoX kc, only chasing t bow with 3 elder mauls to show for it. I have an average of 5 CoX A DAY for the last year and am still no closer to the goal my whole stream was built on. I've done basically everything else I want to do in game apart from GM CA grind and some vanity flexes, all of which will be made significantly easier with the bow. Honestly I never thought I'd be in this position, I am so privileged to be able to stream the game that I love and interact with the wonderful community. However, I just can't bring myself to log in anymore to do the same raid for hours on end just for the ever so rare purples to have a 97% chance to be a duplicate. Don't even get me started on the thousands of pots, marks of grace, crystal shards, soul runes etc that I've farmed and consumed along the way. Sure I could do other things on stream to distract myself a bit, but I have no interest in skilling further, I have 5 avernics in a row from tob, blessing my quiver and going for zuk pet both seem like needlessly long time spent without either t bow or scythe so I just come back to the same thought of "just get the rarest drop in game, man". Unfortunately for my newfound "career", my enthusiasm for streaming has also reduced significantly. It's hard to maintain a positive, entertaining persona when all you can think about is how much you don't even want your 60th purple so you can avoid the pain of yet another dupe. And at this point I'm sure my viewers are sick of hearing me say it, so it's better to just not play, sadly. TL;DR - Iron going for t bow confirms drop rate is a joy killer.

For reducing the number of purples at CoX and shifting them elsewhere, I think thats a good idea. Albeit definitely will rustle some peoples jimmies. ToB and ToA each has 7. CoX has a whopping 12. As for the what stays, I would say make the 7 be Ancestral, Kodai, Elder Maul, Twisted Bow (Obviously), and Twisted Buckler. That actually would make the table line up with the others more or less (ToB has an armor set, an off hand, and 3 weapons. ToA has an armor set, an off hand, 2 weapons and a ring). As for where to send them, thats definitely up in the air. I think Dex and Claws would be by far the most controversial to shift around. But Jagex should just bite the bullet and do it as an integrity change or something.

ive always said that cox drop rates are way too low. the main problem is a lot of purples and over half the time its a scroll. I heard a good solution to this. make the purple rate in cm like 15-20% worse but make it unable to drop scrolls. would make seeing a purple actually cool instead of "ah dex #38, great"

I think needing no stams for CoX should be fine. The stam usage in CoX looks weird now that we're 3 raids deep; ToB gives you free stams and ToA even combined stam and overload into one thing, and I can only assume the next raid will do the same thing and run energy won't be a factor again. I was honestly surprised when they were doing the last round of QoL changes to CoX and didn't introduce some kind of stam potion substitute you can brew in the raid. I think there is room for them to introduce some things that are specifically designed to require staminas through mechanics that drain run energy, without having to keep run energy in such a state that running out of run is a common concern elsewhere. Would be a nice buff to the ring of endurance which has crashed hard since the run energy changes were first proposed. Finally on the purples thing - again going back to, we're 3 raids deep with a 4th on the way sooner rather than later, I do think CoX could use a rate boost by this point. Even if you're not an iron, there's a LOT to farm these days, and boosting rates in CoX means the content is more satisfying for people who still wanna run it even when we're pushing 4, 5 raids and countless other pieces of content like colo, slayer, and various quest bosses.

I think CoX purples should be more common, or maybe that you get more points per room so that you have bigger chances for purples. I don't mind the amount of purples as long as it's more common. I also believe that ToA rates are fine at higher invos, though 8man 405s or dolo 500-510s is kinda silly, but I dunno.

Don't think the dh change was necessary, we've always known what his max hit is so if you're dying there that's on you. It actually makes barrows more interesting as its basic content and would teach you to take care of your hp. It's literally his set effect, it should be deadly especially as a boss. It's also such a classic scenario which now new players won't experience and if you're dying at barrows on a hardcore you probably shouldn't have made one in the first place lmao.

I think an issue with chambers mega rares is that there are three mega rares in that raid and in the other two raids the only mega rares are either the scythe or the shadow. Just hitting the table for a mega rare in CoX is essentially the equivalent of getting scythe or shadow. I have always thought that the fang and ward should be swapped as far as the drop table goes. Fang is too op for it to not be on the expert table and ward is too mid game and not beneficial to not be on entry.

The only way they truly benefit from these changes is by leveling agility. That was the whole design for the change. Sure you get a buff straight out of the box on a level 3, but you get even more as you level. Idk why that wouldn't be an incentive to level it.

Cms should be like hmt, change scroll rates for doing harder raids like hmt does for avernics/boost weapons for cms
