Massive US military carrier arrives in Stockholm, Sweden

Caught a peak of this massive ship while on a stroll through Stockholm... there were quite a few other spectators watching too.

That's LHD 3, the USS Kearsarge. She's a Wasp class amphibious assault ship.

That is NOT an aircraft carrier…. It is an amphibious helicopter attack ship. They are very slow

It's a specific type of carrier, but it is indeed a carrier. There are no F-35Bs on the deck but it can carry them, and the F-35B/C are the most capable carrier aircraft in existence right now. The C having more fuel and able to carry larger bombs internally, but requiring the supercarriers.
