Massive utility pole turns dream home into eyesore, owners say

The massive utility pole was installed by CenterPoint Energy in front of a Montrose, Texas home just two weeks after the new owners closed on it.

How about the fact they eliminated the sidewalk for wheelchair bound residents? Don't sidewalks have to remain a certain width for the ADA?, seems they plopped it in without making sure there was enough right away to hold the pole and its sidewalk. Maybe they can look into that. As well as I am sure there is an ordinance that says a fence or hedges can't exceed a certain height so many feet from the corner as not to block the view of cars turning corners, maybe the utility didn't tell anyone because it's easier to ask for forgiveness than get permission when the American with disabilities act is involved, you can't just take away a handicap accessible sidewalk because you feel like it.
