I almost always shop at Walmart to stretch my dollars on the road. In this video I show what I bought, meal ideas, and price breakdown.
Living cheap on the road has made me find very interesting meals like cabbage and eggs, Garbanzo Bean salad, avocado toast and more.
Stay Curious!

I really like your idea for the adding your soup to Ramen noodles. And I also thank you for your advice on the Halos I went grocery shopping myself yesterday and bought a big 3 lb bag of halos. I normally don't eat citrus but being traveling on the road it's very good to stay healthy I added to my diet a maximum complete greens. It's a powder that I got a GNC and it gives me the extra vitamins and minerals that I need kind of like that drink that you had there with the vanilla chai or the green one you had right there in your video. Stay healthy and stay safe. Thank you David Fontaine

Wow, that was a big haul (and great budgeting!) You had me when I saw the fish tanks and then the Hershey bars in your cart :p I LOVE chocolate, and there was a time that we had as many as 400 gallons of fish tanks (the largest being a 75 gallon tank with Oscars and other ciclids) in the house several years ago (we haven't kept fish for a while now though). Almond milk is really good, we got the Vanilla Unsweetened for my mom, she is a diabetic and the unsweetened has no sugar, we had to get her off regular milk. Coconut oil is very good at Walmart you can get a two pack of cold pressed coconut oil I have had mine for 3 months now. And I use one can for skin and the other container for cooking. When I say skin I mean I use that to make lotions and things like that for my for my dry skin it's good on your scalp and it also good on your face and your elbows and knees it's just good for an all on all in all skin application. You tend to dry out quite a bit when you're traveling and the bass and baths are good but a lot of the Soaps that are made nowadays have a lot of harsh chemicals in them. I am researching on using coconut oil in replacement of olive oil or in conjunction with olive oil to make my own soap. Have a great day and stay healthy and safe

Attention walmart shoppers, if you go directly to a kroger or other meat shop you can save money on ground beef by purchasing only a half a pound for your spaghetti and other recipes. Go to a store that has a small meat cutting section, and get it in smaller portions, and it will assist in not having too many leftovers for that small ice chest. Be sure to stop by and purchase some food containers at dollar tree for additional savings. Thank you for stopping at walmart, where they take all the money. Also, you can purchase those cute little cans of heat (for cooking) at a dollar tree or a 99 cent store. Saves money when you only need it for like 40 minutes of cook time.

I call this trip a grocery store a haul ~ you really do eat health. The fast food industry is a trap of convenience in the Big cities. Living this Nomatic lifestyle is like a crash course in the old "Home Economics " courses they taught in the 1960' in high schools. BTW, the males in my school couldn't sign up for "Home Eco" classes - (go figure?) nor could girls sign up for "Shop/Wood Working classes", you are learning both on your own and with help from other Tribe members. You go girl ~ !

I know you're trying to eat healthy and that's good. However you really need to look at the amount of sodium and sugar in the food you get. You are probably getting your maxium recommended sodium intake in just one of those cans of soup. You're probably also getting way too much sugar with alot of the other items. High salt and sugar are really bad for your system. Youre young now but it will catch up with you. Both can be really hard on your skin and many other organs. Do some research for your health. Wishing you the best in your travels.
@app103
@app103 6 ай бұрын
And that's why I prefer to use a can of no salt added mixed vegetables and a packet of low sodium chicken bouillon or a can of low sodium V8. Match that up with a few slices of no salt added Swiss cheese from the deli, for the grilled cheese sandwich, use a whole grain bread, and you are all set.
