MASSIVE Water Leak Inside My Smart Fortwo 451 - Source Found & Fixed - AC Drain Tube blockage #car #smartcar #smart451
In April 2024 I bought ANOTHER Smart Car ... this time a 2011 Smart ForTwo Night Orange edition. One of only 235 ever made!
Why? Well because my Smart 450 is getting on in its life and the colour ... well I just fell in love with it.
BUT - as we went to test an OBD reader earlier this week we noticed a huge water leak in both the passenger and drivers footwell. It was a massive water leak and we couldn't work it out.
In this video Dad and I find the leak (which was the Air Con vent tube!) fix it, dry the carpet out and get it all put back together - fingers crossed ... no more wet carpets

Well done both a great repair and good job you spotted it and when you did I had the exact same issue many times on my 2007 Renault megane and the frequency of it happening was due to a fault with the actual drain tube! I have never forgotten treading onto wet carpets after work lol all the best to you both Daniel

There is another one of those drains under the bonnet beside the heater that can block and overflow through the heater.

Stop/start is disabled if the rear window isn't closed - probably why the button wasn’t working. No idea what possessed Smart to code that functionality into the system!
