I’m a type 2 diabetic and just started my weight loss journey. I was taking Rybelsus and loss some weight but gained it all back. Tomorrow I will be taking my third shot of 2.5 mg. I’m really looking forward to losing some of this weight. I went out and bought myself a bike and start going for daily rides around my area. I injected my 15 mg Mounjaro into the top of my right thigh today and when I pulled the pen back after hearing the clicks, there were drops of fluid around where the injection site was. Never saw that before… It’s like my pen was leaking so I don’t think I got all of the medication in through the needle so I’m bummed out. Has anyone else had this happen? 🦕i was just reading about the oral method they are contemplating. Will you be covering that topic? I'm thankful obesity and weight loss is becoming more in the forefront of the minds as a disease. Knowing there is now something out there for me that is helping me with a decades long struggle is so uplifting for my soul. I never had a weight problem until I got pregnant with my son and then WHAM, My body changed and the weight was here to stay no matter what I did or tried. Until my compound Zepbound comes in, i'm still staying on track and trying to fight the food noise. Today has been a battle. May 7 since my last shot. Hopefully my prescription will be in tomorrow!!! Hi countess I was on mounjaro and absolutely love being on mounjaro but right now I'm on ozempic. It's nothing like mounjaro I'm eating everything in really Xtra small portions ,once I have my body sculpting business up and running then I can afford to go back on mounjaro ❤ it really helps my diabetes in a huge way and I lose weight but with ozempic it ain't doing nothing for me LoL. I would feel very uplifted if medicare would start paying for these medications!...So for now it's a crappy time to be considered elderly and not being able to afford these medications! And crappy for the people who can't afford these drugs because their health insurance won't pay for these life changing drugs. It's for this reason I wish I was 20 years younger. I’m on an advantage plan because I’m only 62. I’m I’m the donut hole, now, and have to pay close to $800 for a 90-day supply. There is no coupon when you’re on Medicare or SSDI. it makes no sense!!!!!!!!! We are on fixed incomes!!!!

If you lost 88 pounds on zepbound in .16 months that means you are doing better than you would with the new drug doesn’t it?

It’s usually more instructive to go by *percentage* of body weight lost, rather than just pounds. For instance, if someone was 300 lbs and lost 45 lbs, that initially SOUNDS better than someone losing 40 lbs, but who weighed only 200 lbs to start. ‘Cuz 45 is more than 40, yes? 🤷‍♀️ BUT, then you do the math, and turns out the first person lost 15 percent of their body weight, and the second person lost 20 percent. Second person did better despite losing less weight, actually. Not that it’s a contest. So, long story short… Elizabeth certainly has done fantastic losing 88 lbs, and she seems to be a high-responder to Tirzepatide - much more so on both counts, in fact, due to her being T2D (diabetics tend to lose 1/3 less weight on average on these meds than non-diabetics). But for full context, should be noted that she also had a significantly higher starting weight than the average test subject in these trials… which means it isn’t exactly an apples-to-apples comparison, if you follow. 🍎 Again though, she’s certainly done great, and has *worked* for it. 🌟
