I agree, with a caveat. If they landed Crochet, then they could trade a bunch of pitching for impact defense and bats. Packaging up Schmidt to get Arenado, packaging up Gil for Tucker. There are other ways to do it and I’d argue they would need Gil or Dominguez to land Crochet, but it would be a masterstroke

Who cares if he's costing 2 million NOW, Crochet will not sign with anyone without also signing a NEW contract. So this is giving up prospects AND spending 15-30 million per year. This won't happen, there going offense here on out.... Freid is only starter we're getting, maybe a reliever but no one costly

We’re going after a guy that was six and 12 last year with almost a four ERA and yes I’m aware how bad Chicago was but to give up the farm system for a guy that had that record is pretty awful

We just signed Fried it doesn't make sense too. We have way too much starting pitching we need to use some of if for trades we can.

You realize the White Sox lost well over 100 games last year right? His record is irrelevant here. And a 3.58 ERA last year is not almost 4. Your ace only had a 3.41 ERA last year and Rodon had a 3.96. 😂 Lol. His career ERA is 3.29. That’s terrible? I hope Yankees management feels the way you do though because the Mets need him more. lol.
