I know every country plays music. But there's something different about Congolese music. I believe that UNESCO should proclaim their music as world cultural patrimony. The harmony, the flow and sound it's just incredible. It seems as if god danses and sings this music! The pleasure you gain from this is by far superior to many. It's now 4am and I can't sleep!

I've collaborated with Jeannot Bel who is a great Congolese guitarist. I've learned from many others as well as learned by ear, but he has lots of instructional videos / dvds. I would look him up online. He plays lead with Kanda Bongo Man so I would absorb as much as you can. Again, I learned in many other ways but I hope this gets you at least one source for information. Carry on with your passion!
