The "common man" can not repair solar panels on the International Space Station or make fine adjustments to the Hubble Space Telescope. The "common man" can experience something like those activities by climbing the mast of his or her own sailboat and installing a wind speed indicator. Perhaps it was sailors like you who inspired the uncommon person to make the strides they have. Nicely choreographed, safe, and obviously entertaining to watch.

Hello In your opinion a halcyon is capable sail from UK to Portugal?
@SVNimbus6 ай бұрын
Yes, it is capable. these are some similar trips of Halcyons on you tube channels @Nachosan (uk to Cape Verde... you need to look at his older sailing videos) and @s.v.corycia5643 (Uk to the Mediterranean)

I fear you are making the same mistake twice, friend. I bought the wired system, and it was utter garbage. Just about everything fails on it, and rapidly. The wind vane jammed after 8 months and the cups failed after 18 months. I replaced the wind vane (the magnets had rusted and jammed) and when i replaced the cups, the readings were very erratic. There is enough trouble in the world without buying it, but twice????

+TroyaE117 Yes you might be right about the construction... but so far (one year on) I've had no issues with the wireless unit shown being fitted here. The previous wired wind unit worked OK until it's wire got damaged inside the mast so this was and quick and direct replacement. We had 120Mph winds recorded in the marina last winter, but the biggest cause of damage is from the 'murder' of crows that nest nearby, they are more agile than the guls and love to perch on windcups..

Hi, still working fine? I’m considering to buy this wireless model. Thank you!
