Are you happy about the products so far? Thanks a good video! I think i will buy the same for my Jeanneau Sun Fizz 40 feet.
@DoubleUThings4 жыл бұрын
Hi! Yes, they work as they should, so far. The last trip we made, from the island Kefalonia (Greece) to Ithaka, the depth sounder even gave readings up to 60 meters of depth, which is more than we expected, because the max would be approximately 40 meters with an inboard mounting. Also the windmeter works fine. It even survived a hurricane (see other video). Other boats in the same bay measured up to 115 knots of wind! The only problem we have, is the three colour/anchor light. When on anchor (so with the wind from the front), it disturbs the wind flow along the sensor now and then, because the light it higher than the sensor. But of course when sailing, that is never a problem :-)

Is the nasa Duet working ok for you>? mine gives random numbers when out of range so it triggers the alarm in deep waters,. i have to switch it off vanishing the function of it. Also depth above 20 meters isnt reliable. Speed is weird, never matching GPS (no current nor tide). And after few months gets condensation and rottens inside. Assistance is a nightmare. i wonder if it is just me. After all the work to install it it s a real loos of energy. i cant wait to trash it at next haul out
@DoubleUThings Жыл бұрын
Yes, fine. It's a shame yours sucks, man! Reading less than 50 meters depth and sometimes even 60 is good. When deeper, we just switch it off. And we just have depth and wind. Not speed. We had condensation one time, in one of the gauges, but it never came back.
@lorenzogentili9305 Жыл бұрын
it s a safety problem for me to have to switch it of because in case you go again in shallow waters the alarm wont sound.

Nice vlog again , well done, 😂 mineral is natural oil. Why not try coolly flowers oil .. sounds good too 😂 I googled it , it’s sunflower oil 👍🏻 Tip .. you can’t change the nav light for led. The colour is changing to much different level. The white light is fine but the red and green( blue ish) will change too much I got stopped by harbour police , they demand to change it is to original. We got 24 hours to fix it. Wicked but true.... is you go to led make sure you use 2400 to 2700 kelvin led lights. The yellow-ish original light colour must be matched. I just had enough if it .. bought a new tire led driven tri-colour ( same brand )
@DoubleUThings5 жыл бұрын
Haha, yes, I know it is sunflower oil. I was searching for the general term of such oils :D Oh, we already changed the light for LED. We found them when we went to Athens/Piraeas for loads of stuff we needed and we couldn't get over here. It looks good, though. So maybe no problem. And otherwise I'll put some yellow plastic foil in the lamp. We bought the strongest LED-light we could find.

Well, with the three double safety you don't need courage, haha! YOUCANDOIT!!! :-) First time it was just factory setting, the way I put it. Later i turned the housing backwards, so the anchor light wouldn't disturb the wind coming from the aft and from the side.
@DoubleUThings3 жыл бұрын
