You are teaching the Arabic language better than anyone else on KZbin, exactly because you underline and concentrate on the most fundamental thing in a language: conjugation of verbs. A sentence is built on the skeleton of correctly conjugated verbs (person and tense). Memorising nouns, numbers, verbs can be done through self-study of a dictionary (once one has mastered to read the Arabic alphabet) but one needs help initially to solve the formula of conjugation. This is the best Arabic video on internet especially for KSA, thanks. I have few questions: 1. How can we conjugate the verb "To say/tell" in past tense? Eg She said...He said to her, They said... She said to me, Wait, I said it before,I told him, she told me, we told them, they told us etc. 2. How can we conjugate all these verbs you just taught us in past tense? Eg I spoke to him, He listened to her, I heard..., We drank..., They went..., She learnt...etc 3. How can we know when to use the prefix "tee" for both genders like in "to learn" unlike in others cases where you used "tee" for female and "yee" for male? Please, if you can make a video for this I will be most grateful. It hasn't been easy learning another entirely new language with different alphabets, pronunciation and grammatical rules. We are thankful to all of you who noticed our struggle and opted to lend us a helping hand. 🙏

As for your third question, the prefix "ye" is used with the pronoun (he), whereas the prefix "te" is used for both (she) and (YOU male) I recommend re-watching the video and paying extra attention to sentence with the pronoun (he) vs sentences with the pronoun (you -masculine-)! You can also watch our video on pronouns to make this even clearer.

Hey Rohan! Thanks for the comment and suggestion! As for your question, getting a lot of exposure to the natives speaking (and eventually interacting with them) will help you develop a good accent! And it's very doable! One of my students reached a point where I honestly thought he was Saudi when he talked to me! But it takes time and is probably not the priority for a beginner!

Unfortunately, there aren't many books un Saudi Dialect since it's a spoken and not a written dialect. However, I think chatGPT is doing a great job at it! You can ask it to give a list of verbs in Saudi Dialect and it would help you!

I currently study Fusha and can definitely see the similarities! Do you recommend I study a dialect simultaneously? Of all the dialects, I’m most interested in the Saudi variety. Also I know that the KSA has many dialects. Which one would this be? Is there a “standard” dialect there kinda like the Midwestern American English accent is the default accent in the US? شكرا

Hey! For most, studying MSA and a dialect simultaneously might not be a good idea. It's usually better to start with either one of them, get to a B1 level at least, and then start another dialect. This dialect is the Najdi dialect, which is the central region of KSA and it is considered to be the standard Saudi Dialect.

Interesting, because I’m currently learning in Riyadh and the conjugation they’re teaching us isn’t with the “y” for men at the beginning, or the “t” for women. Example: arukh (your example - to go - sorry, transliterating). We’re learning “rukh” for men and “rukhi” for women. Make sense?
