Can you go through all the settings you breezed past and explain what they actually do? Also, how do you know when to increase ISO as opposed to opening up?
@InsidiousVendetta7 жыл бұрын
RE: Increasing ISO vs opening up: find what you or other professionals consider an acceptable ISO threshold for your camera. Let's say it's 1600 ISO. 90% of the time you're going to want to open up. Opening up literally just opens the physical aperture of the lense, affecting how much light hits the sensor. Increasing ISO amplifies both noise and image by increasing or decreasing power to the sensor, so it'll get you the shot but not without additional noise in the image. However, say you don't have ND filters and you want a deep depth of field. In that scenario you might consider increasing your ISO and closing your aperture to essentially grant you greater depth of field in the image. Not advisable, but that's an example.

Great vid, small heads up: 24fps is for "cinema" regardless of where you are in the world. UK and Europe (and Australia, New Zealand etc) don't use 25fps instead of 24fps, they use 24fps for PAL TV vs North America's 30fps for NTSC TV.
