@Yes, that's correct. Similar to push hands in Tai Chi, SYSTEMA emphasizes principles such as relaxation, sensitivity, and body mechanics rather than relying solely on physical strength. Push hands is a practice that focuses on developing sensitivity, balance, and understanding of energy flow, rather than overpowering an opponent with brute force. Similarly, in SYSTEMA, practitioners learn to use their body efficiently and effectively, utilizing principles such as relaxation, breathing, and fluidity of movement, rather than relying solely on strength. Both push hands and SYSTEMA highlight the importance of understanding and utilizing one's body mechanics and energy, making physical strength less of a prerequisite for learning or teaching these arts.

Good morning dear Sensei. Could you please demonstrate some practical application of the Techniques shown in the video because I feel that an attacker would bother to wrestle with the victims for such a long time. Then, where is the time for the physical application for the technique shown in the video????. Please accept my sincere thanks. Regards.❤

I wish I could find it, but Chen Zhonghua uploads a lot, because it was really quite impressive- there's a video where he's discussing a principle and is going to demonstrate brush knee and push. He meant for the student to give him a gentle kick to the side but you can see in the video the student misunderstood and, I think got nervous, kicks at his head. CZH applies the technique in a flash slamming the guy onto the ground. He quickly apologizes and triple checks he's okay. The skill is real, this is a demo where he is being extremely passive, allowing the student to work on a technique. Similar to how a boxing coach will have a student throw jabs over and over again and hand pads and only occasionally toss them a counter punch to make sure they're staying alert. You can see one of CZH's students fighting in a muay thai fight here. Plenty of Taiji mechanics in his clinch, throws, and strikes. kzbin.info/www/bejne/haeukHaOeKqirbs
