Of cause, you are a nice person Christelle! I have been watching your clips for years and have enjoyed all of them. Not only because of your play but because of you. Keep your chin up and keep on playing. Both you and your music are great!

Thank you for the tips, I try to breath like you say and I can hear the difference. I mostly use the tremolo, but tried your vibrato as well, IT WORKS. I play now for 3,5 years everyday for more than 1 hour, but I can't improvise, so I play along with music from youtube, pop, folk, country etc. I admire your playing very much, and how you give a personal twist to songs, you are very talented, please keep going, all the best.

You are so close to me in how we understand that instrument, with all respect, that we are not at the same level in technics, but just in the way we deal with it. Thank you!

I am a player who plays only with instinct, emotions and improvisation, and not always in the way that the band need! It is so personal and passionate that I don't know how to play in a band, which means that the band have to deal with it! Not cool for the band, but i give each second of my time to each of us to say yes we can express ourselves in improvisations like the magic of the TIME!

Hello Christelle, I just saw your 2014 vid attempting to get the sanctimonious religious fanatics off your back. Your commentary said what I've been telling people for years. The world would be a much better place if the superstitious religions that have caused so much harm did not exist. Since we seem to be singing from same hymn book, sarcastic insert /;-), I won't rant about the subject, just wanted to say I love your panache. Oh and by the way... love your performances. You will get a donation from me. Kind regards, Joe M, Tx, USA.

How to do circular breathing to get really long notes?
@GregoryPearsonMusic4 жыл бұрын
Christelle, I have a basic question. Do you play a regular diatonic harmonica and - how many notes do you get out of it counting bends and over-blows. It seems like you play a regular harp on music people would normally need a chromatic to play.
@AlejandroNitsch3 жыл бұрын
It is a diatonic and counting draw bends, overblows, blow bends and overdraws, you should be able to get 42 different notes out of a 20-reed instrument
@GregoryPearsonMusic3 жыл бұрын
@@AlejandroNitsch thanks - that is amazing.

First of all I would like to say thank you to Ben Hewlett for facilitating this Master Class session with Christelle Berton. Ben, if you are reading this, I am one of your students on Udemy (one of your worse studends) and I wanted to thank you for the opportunity. Now, back to the STAR of the show, mon cheri Christelle, thank you very, very much for sharing your talent with all of us mortals. It feels very sad to know that you were taken advantage by a recording company. I don't mean to sound too obvious but, have you taken into consideration to publish some digital record using something like cdbaby? I think you have all you need. Were you able to buy yourself a new computer yet? For those who don't bother to read the details under the video, you can help Christelle here tinyurl.com/pq9kjrdk. In any case, I wanted to share with all of you is that, in my opinion, the second very best thing with Christelle, after every beautiful performance, is her smile of sincere satisfaction! And, last thing, if you'll ever be able to produce a live tour, I would suggest you call it "Emotion". Cheers Christelle, keep up the good work.
