This trainer is AMAZING. I love his mentality towards his dogs and how to live with them. I love his no nonsensical pragmatism towards dog training. By far this is my favorite of all the dog trainer vids I’ve seen by you so far. I thought I liked Oscar Mora, this guy is beyond. Can you do a Q&A session with him via Skype or a segment (or series)? I’d love to see more.

“I’m into challenges” Um obviously!! Lol Having the only Labrador with a French Ring 1 says a lot. Can you imagine the conversation between him and the stereotypical Malinois/Dutch Shepherd trainer... “wait you did what with a what?!?!?” I love this guy’s honesty and how he doesn’t make excuses he just goes that much harder the next time. Another GREAT VIDEO Dogumentary!!!👏👌🐶💯

@@wholesome122 We owned a showline black lab when I was a kid, he was very protective of my mom and us girls but my dad had to protect himself lol. That dog was very alert and very aware of dangerous situations. Once I went on a hike with our Lab and a man kept following me which really scared me because no one would hear me scream... When the man got close, my Lab jumped him and tried to rip the guy's face off. I've never seen a Labrador react that way! Luckily the guy ran...

High praise to Daryl Dogman Young. This man totally understands dog psychology. Mind you, his sound advice doesn't keep our female setter from thinking our bed is hers. Our male Dobbie knows some rules about the house but still kicks up a fuss when he wants a tear away run in the local fields? Fast and playful as he is, he still can't keep up with her chasing rabbits ;-)

I find it really odd that a dog sport wouldn't allow a certain breed to compete. I know Dutch, German, and Belgian Shepherds are basically the poster pups for that sport, but to exclude a breed seems really weird to me.
@Weirdanimalboy7 жыл бұрын
Also, I'm liking the look of his Labrador. Most Labradors nowadays look like friggen bricks with legs.
@tshred6667 жыл бұрын
Weirdanimalboy it doesn't help that most retrievers are family dogs, and family dogs are often prone to obesity due to poor diet and exercise. Honestly the best environment for working dogs is with a single person in their twenties and thirties with the time to dedicate to working and training them. If I wasn't working two jobs and living at home I would be jumping straight into the apbt and training them for adba sports.

Can you please do a video on ear chopping explaining it's benefit? I will be getting my first dog in a few weeks and she will be an American bully. I am torn between getting ears done or Not? I been watching your videos for sometime and I trust your advise. Please HELP.
@Weirdanimalboy7 жыл бұрын
Brandon Zellous Honestly, ear cropping does have some benefits. It lets more air flow into the ear canal (reducing the likelihood of ear infections from moisture), it gives ticks less of an area to attach on to, it definitely prevents hematomas (a hematoma is a popped blood vessel in a dog's ear, it pops after floppy eared dog shakes his head too much too often). It has some drawbacks. Obviously, most "fur mommies" will condemn you to the deepest, darkest depths of hell. If done incorrectly by an inexperienced person, it can cause pain (but hey, so can any surgery), an experience vet will generally make a clean crop and send you hone with pain meds (but if they don't, ask for some). And it might give off the wrong image of your dog. Most people find a floppy eared dog more approachable than a prick eared one, just human nature. Your choice in the end.
@Nonbinarymodel6 жыл бұрын
Don't do them
@ratdraws94453 жыл бұрын
I would crop. But only for looks because bully breeds have ugly ears with no crops. So looks or for working reasons.
