With the release of Master Duel, of course we had to figure out a way to implement the traditional From Scratch series and it may be a lot more difficult than expected! No buying gems, No crafting and the heart of the cards. Can we still make it to Plat 1?

Question. Are you allowed to craft cards if you don't use them? Because unlocking a box with a crafted card gives you a free pack of said box, there actually exists a roadmap on Reddit on maximizing the number of packs you get daily from crafting cards. And you surely have loads of Sr stuff that you don't need

You say you have no control over what deck you build, but there is a deck that you can get started with very easily: World Chalice. The last Solo campaign gives you every single World Chalice card and every pre-Cybernetic Horizon World Legacy spell. And yes, that does mean 3 copies of World Legacy Succession. Plus, beating them gives you access to both of the Special Packs that the World Legacy is connected to: Krawler, Mekk-Knight, and Knightmare in one, Crusadia, Orcust, and Guardragons in the other.

I can't speak for everyone Revz, but I don't particularly want to see you playing the same deck again by going Rokket into inevitable Dragon Link. Part of the fun of these series is seeing what new deck is going to come out of it.

I dont think mixing the tenyis and the rokkets is a terrible idea as the tenyis can act as free extenders with additional benefits and the rokket can be your high power playmakers and normal summons. It means you get the best of both without having to play clunky deck filler

Honestly, I used to watch your Yugioh from scratch series hoping for some time I'd have the budget to also build fancy decks, yet here we are: Its online, free, and you get tons of stuff very quickly. Currently mainly playing Fur Hire and Dragonmaids, having a blast.

Quick tip on pack opening you can drag your cursor across and it will open sr and ur last including the hidden ones it kills me to see you open it 1 by 1

Witchcrafters might be worth investing in because there's a hidden achievement to inflict 10000 battle damage on your opponent turns for 1000 gems and that just the first step

The witchcrafter traps are actually not in that pack -- they're in legacy for some reason I won't be missing masterpiece but not having patronus would suck, patronus is a spell search every turn

It's actually pretty damn simple to make dragon link (well getting the rokket cards and Borreload cards anyway) since it's already there with the blue-eyes and firewall pack.

You can click the blank space on the bottom of the pack, the cards would flip automatically for you :)

Think of it this way: he got triple cores for a jankier build that could be fun. Borrelguard is hands-down the most underrated Borrel. It synergizes with furious AND savage. It's a really nice card to have, and despite what others may think of it, if it was so bad, why is it not a R or below? Konami knows.

Triple furious and triple guard with triple savage? Guard is NOT load or sword, but guard can use savage as a free revive combo or be protected from furious popping it- furious doesn't require a pop to destroy a card on your opponent's field. I hope my janky view on rokket gives a few nice ideas, since I went straight for pure rokket and now have Dragon Link. Best of luck, Rev!

this series is so exciting :D mainly because i myself play an upgraded 3x rokket structure deck (striker dragon, borrelsword, savage and AA-Zeus (because my lucky ass pulled him) also other out of theme things like red eyes flare metal dragon because he burns like hell and is easy af to summon thanks to exploderrokket and absorouter) so would be very nice if you continued expanding the rokket deck but i wouldnt mind if you dive into the tenyis because my friend has a very strong tenyi deck.

with all the revival traps you have they might be worth for a slow a* rokkets build , & adhara + any base rokket into Denglong search 9 Pillars seems neat

Crazy with your luck in the packs, even though i would have liked something way different for the main deck :D But like you said, you can reach at least gold with absolute garbage, cause you dont derank in anyway till Gold V. I played my old X-Saber deck from around 2011 just for fun and nostalgia. I almost lost every game and only ocasionally won, cause of misplays and bricks of opponents or people that played their starter deck. And now i sit at Gold V and dont see any chance at all with my old deck. Thats probably something they should change, that you can already derank at silver/bronze.

Feel like there should be challenges that allow for 1 craft, mostly to add the ability to access secret packs again after the 24hour limits, maybe one craft for each time to bump up in rank rarity (once getting into bronze 5, again in silver 5, etc, as well as one each time you beat a genuine meta deck or something like that)

I play lair of darkness and got even platinum with that deck. After that...upgrade...things went down. Do you have, maybe like a good deck profile for lair? I am pretty sure that I don't have a terrible deck, but I don't know how I can do it better

mixing red eyes with rokkets might be quite good to do, so putting 1k into each of those to keep them around longer, with free to play 0 craft spending resources slower to keep secret pack access is probably optimal

I'm enjoying this series. It's definitely a very different approach to other people's master duel content. I do want to ask a question not regarding this series though. Do you have any plans to return to the pokemon hack? I miss that series :(

imo i think Revz Should be able to buy some packs every weak maybe like 10, since the gem fall is really big cause i feel like some of the joy that comes from this series is that of getting those chase cards and its going to be hard to get those chase cards if the income of gems dwindles making it harder to open pack. since we dont really know when konami is going give F2P more ways to get more gems. Just my opinion Anyway love series still keep it up

In hindsight of playing the game from tutorial to plat 1 you get around 15k gems very early on from the game which allows you to build 1.5 half decks and craft enough staples (handtraps, dm staples etc.), then the amount of gems you get from missions significantly reduces and looks like konami wants you to spend alot of money to build future decks because as I said 15k gems only allows you to build 1-2 decks. In saying this you still do not have enough gems to craft all the staple/pull cards you need unless you are really lucky with your pulls.

I know that you said in this series you plan not to craft but I think maybe it may be better if you change the rules to where you can craft a card to unlock free packs and after crafting a card to unlock a secret pack or packs you immediately dismantle the card you crafted so that you are only building your deck with the cards you got from those free packs and whatever cards you opened from spending the free gems you collected because I don't know how long it may be before you get about another 10,000 gems to spend and I don't know what you plan to do when you get nearly the same amount of gems if you are going to buy 20 or 30 master duel packs and then check what cards are available from the secret packs you unlock to see if they have any cards that might help to make your decks better and try to budget how many gems you spend on opening one secret pack and then so many gems on a second secret pack if there are more than one that have a pacific card you want to improve your deck or do you plan to just spend as many gems as possible on master packs from here on since there are so many cards that are only available from master packs however I don't know how long it takes to get over a thousand gems! I am curious if you also plan to do a let's play covering going through the solo mode to unlock all of the free gems and legacy pack tickets in order to see what you can get from those free legacy packs and how many more packs you can buy since there are some solo duels that get you 200 or 400 free gems depending on how far in the solo mode you get!

You should play megalith, you unlock the pack in story mode and all the good ones are rare or below

Idk but many people seem to love invoked, especially the new players too. Maybe it will be good to boost your numbers a bit. Tenyi is a good choice, most of their good stuff is R/N. Good luck mate. One issue with this series: Reaching Plat isn't really that big of an achievement. You just have to spam duels. Maybe add an extra rule, that you have to reach plat1, and then achieve a winrate of over 50%, playing vs (at least somewhat) competetive decks? edit: or maybe set a limit in how many Episodes you have to have reached plat. And if you fail you have to start "from scratch"

I spent 7k on dark magician pack and got 3 copies of almost every ultra rare I wanted. Only got 2 copies of The Dark Magicians but that's fine because I only run 2 copies.
