Woo perfect predictions. But some matches were a lot closer than I anticipated.

My favorite part of recording these types of videos too - to make and check my predictions. I started the whole channel partially because of this - I wanted this tournament of youtube.

No wait strategy really hurts them

Waiting can definitely impact the effectiveness of units. Thanks for your input!

I don't like this unit at all, but given how fast they are, I did expect better.

I also. When I was a kid and playing, I was mainly focused into battles. Didn't care for experience, magic and other stuff. And I remember both that genie and the monk from Castle, that those 2 were just a rip off. They were very squishy and didn't deserve to be put in such bug lv unit. You can literally beat them with even united 1 or 2 levels below. And just because of that, I really hated those and barely used them at all.

@@MihailParshin i used to think like you, until i looked some pro players use them and tried myself on some maps with impossible and it changed my mind. they aren't great in fighting because they aren't fighter, they are fast spellcaster. The idea is of course you split them and boost your doom stack with 15+ buff so it solo farm everything, and thanks to their 11 speed, they can lure/block even high speed creeps very good. you can cast buff on free turn, lure them out the next turn, they help lower casualty in early mid game better than all other tier 5 unit. they also help your hero cast spell first turn faster, very useful for just a small amount. Sure they aren't a good fighters but Tower would look way worse without them in the team. My only complain is the mage tower cost so much that something you can't get this guy out fast enough

@phantan8294 Well, I was a kid. Obviously I have changed my views(now I'm in my 30es). It's just that this game was interesting for me just a few years, while a little kid, and then moved on to the next thing. And so on. Now I just discovered those Heroes 3 channels last month and tooned up for the nostalgia. In fact I have watched my father play it a lot. And him, being grown person, knew better how to dial in fights(both with magic, artifacts and other stuff). But my little self was just interested in creating big armies and destroying the AI. I was even playing only those little scenarios with max 4 AI, with not more than about 10 castles combined in the whole map and only in pawn or horse difficulty(so, with artifacts, gold and other help from the get go). I only knew the tactic to stay in my castle and rely on the shooters and skip turns. And if possible, was destroying the catapult with 1-2 moves or some magics. And then, when stacked with so many army, I just destroyed all computers. It worked more than 90% of the time.

@@MihailParshin ah i see, i used to play like you too. i watched my brother played the game as a kid. He play way better than me and my only favorite stragegy is bait the AI to siege the castle and defeat them with way with way smaller army. those defend fights are so satisfy because you beat an army that is x3 times bigger than you and mark your big comeback because the AI army become way smaller.

Unfortunately those units and archers are amongst the first to die in a castle siege, targeted by enemy towers (probably because of the small HP pool (not sure). I like them for the style points so much, otherwise I just use them to pick up straggler units near death
