Linking your Blogger site to Google Search Console is a straightforward process. Google Search Console is a free tool provided by Google that helps website owners monitor and optimize their site's presence in Google search results. By linking your Blogger site to Google Search Console, you can access valuable data about your site's performance and ensure that Google indexes your content properly. Here's how to do it:
Sitemap: • What is sitemap.xml Fi...
Blogger: onteque.blogsp...
Access Google Search Console:
Go to the Google Search Console website: search.google.....
Sign in using your Google account. Make sure you use the same account associated with your Blogger site.
Add Your Property:
After signing in, click on the "Add Property" button (you'll find it on the top left corner of the page).
A dropdown will appear. Choose "URL prefix."
Enter the URL of your Blogger site (e.g., www.yourblogna...).
Verify Ownership:
There are several methods to verify ownership of your website. Here's how to do it with the "HTML tag" method, which is usually the simplest for Blogger users:
Choose the "HTML tag" verification method (you'll see this option after adding your site's URL).
Copy the provided HTML tag code.
Add the HTML Tag to Blogger:
Log in to your Blogger account at www.blogger.com.
In the Blogger dashboard, go to "Settings" "Basic."
Look for the "Google Search Console" section.
Paste the HTML tag code into the "Google Search Console" field.
Save the changes.
Verify in Google Search Console:
Go back to Google Search Console.
Click on the "Verify" button.
Confirmation:
Google Search Console will now attempt to verify your ownership of the site by checking the presence of the HTML tag on your Blogger site. If successful, your site will be linked to Google Search Console, and you'll have access to valuable data and insights.
Submit a Sitemap (Optional):
After linking your Blogger site to Google Search Console, you can also submit a sitemap to help Google understand your site's structure and content better. To do this:
In Google Search Console, navigate to "Sitemaps" in the left-side menu.
Click on the "Add a new sitemap" button.
Enter atom.xml as the sitemap URL for Blogger.
That's it! Your Blogger site is now linked to Google Search Console, and you can start using the tools and data available to optimize your site's performance in search results. Note that it may take some time for data to start showing up in the Search Console, as Google needs to crawl and index your site first.
