Master Gremlin - challenger for worst level 1 unit in Heroes 3 ??

Luckily for the master gremlins they are not nearly as weak as portrayed here, and are one of the few tier 1 units that should be upgraded asap therefore they end up with higher value than many others. You don't gain as much to upgrade for example troglodytes, skeletons, imps, goblins, pikemen, gnolls in early game so they probably end up not getting upgraded when they are most relevant. Well except goblins if you go for wolf raiders. Centaurs have moderate increases when upgraded but will be downprioritized over elves upgrade. Halfling I don't know, maybe important to upgrade early? Pixies has to be upgraded early but I think if they need academy in hota first then they are significantly weaker than OG. Nymphs may also be a prioritized early upgrade. Seeing the master gremlin vs sprite fight makes me think that halfling grenadiers can win if the sprites don't wait, since they are much better shooters.

Master gremlins can beat only unit with either low mobility or low defense except Halfling because they also ranged unit with high attack

The Sprite fight shows how dumb the AI is. I mean wtf was that formation? The Sprites should have lost only half as much units lol. Edit: same go for Oceanids which should have won.
